| July 1 - Jonathan POPS the question | ||
Well Jonathan popped the question to a young lady, Hana Fair. She accepted and the wedding date is set to Sept.5, 2009. We met Hana a year ago and have been impressed with her love for the Lord and Godly life style. Recently we met her parents who are missionaries to Papau New Guinea. The wedding will be in North Carolina. Needless to say we are excited about this. |

| May 22 - Red Sox Game | ||
Last night, because of the generosity of a Christian Brother, I was able to attend a Baseball game in Fenway Park, Boston Massachusetts. I have been a Red Sox fan ever since I remember but never been to Fenway Park. To make the night even more special my son Matt and two of my granddaughters, Bethany and Victoria, also were with me. It has been well over 20 years since I attended any major league game. A good brother in Christ made it possible for me to live out a small but delightful childhood dream. And the Sox won too! Today I get caught up on some office work and do some lawns. Tonight is the High School Graduation of Central Christian Academy. I will look forward to being there. |

Well, as the blog says .. this is about what I do when I am not preaching. The more I preach the less there is to say here. I have two more meeting to post to be up to date on the Revival Report. Yet in between I was able to get some yard work done, do some household chores, attend a school function with my wife and go to one of my granddaughter's birthday party. When Faith came home from school today she asked me to check out her car. It seemed sluggish. Something is sure wrong. Will have to bring it into the shop to get it checked out. My inner feeling ... the transmission. |

| April 16 - Prayer Meeting | ||
In preparation for the Revival I start this Sunday at my home church, a cottage prayer meeting was held at my home. Several of this are going on within the membership. It was so good to have praying folks fill both the living room and dinning room. The men met in one room the ladies in the other (the ladies had softer seats of the living room). I don't believe it was the typical type of prayer meeting of "God bless the meetings". Much soul searching was done and deep supplication was made before the God of Heaven and earth. I am very concerned about these meetings. Our state, our city and our church needs a visitation of God. |

| March 26 | ||
Today NOTHING can take the joy of the Lord from me. I am just so thrilled to be in the service of the Lord and part of the family of God. I got home late last night from the New York meeting and rested some this morning. God saved souls.. touched lives ... and showed His power and presents. Later this morning I fixed Faith's sewing machine. It's an old White brand but worked great. The power regulator went bad so that it would only run at full speed. Being so old there was no direct part replacement but I was able to find a part and then modify it so it would work as the old one did. |

Well, now with my taxes done, not yet filed, but done, my thoughts are more on the yard work that awaits me. My trip to Texas was blessed by the Lord. I hope to have the posts up in the Evangelism and Revival Report soon. Currently four meetings behind. The snow is gone and it has been warming up after a cold and lingering winter. Today I picked a very large banner I had ordered. It is about 5 or 6 feet wide by 10 or 12 feet long. It portrays Billy Sunday with the words "Somebody has to get on the firing line for God". Ahh so true. I am reminded of the song "I am on the battle field for my Lord" Are you on the firing line or AWOL? |

| Feb 19 | ||
It's been a crazy winter. After much snow and ice it got fairly warm. Then last night more snow but today it was warm. Now tonight it is icy. About 100 feet from my driveway there was an accident of several cars and a truck. I don't think anyone was hurt as no medical personnel were called. Most of my time has been spent on doing my taxes. I use Turbo Tax which is a huge help but still my return requires so many forms and entries for the ministry it can still be a complex task. I am reminded of the Liberals simple tax form of two lines. Line #1. How much did you make? Line #2 Send it in. |
| Feb 8 - Icicles | ||
The other day I saw this through my office window. I was thinking of what makes an icicle. An icicle is formed when ice or snow melts and then refreezes. When it is always cold then no icicle will form. When it is always hot icicles will not form either. I was reminded of Rev. 3:15,16 . . . I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. I sure enough don't want an "icicle heart"... hot then cold.. hot then cold. Let's get hot for God and stay HOT! Its been cold but today is in the high 40's. But I still can not see the ground. |

| January 28 | ||
Ice, snow, cold and no school seems to be the norm this winter. More snow fell last night with now a coating of ice. But God is faithful and spring will come. At least Faith is home with me today. Ahh got an oil and propane delivery this week. Thank the Lord for the faithfulness of His people which enabled us to keep warm (at 60 degrees) and have hot water. Been up in Vermont for meetings. Burrrrrrrrrrr cold. One member told me it was -27 at her house. Nice to be back in the warmer "Southern" New England" area. Seems like 0 is warm when we got back. Oh and our pipes didn't freeze while we were away. I spent sometime putting more insulation on them before we left. I been working on getting the latest news letter out. They are all printed along with the address envelops. Now just to fold, insert, stamp and mail. You can see a PDF copy on the site. |

I have not really had much time to do computer work. Yesterday we lost power for about two hours due to heavy ice storm that lasted two days. School was closed the first day and delayed opening the next. The house was ok in the 50 degree range and candles and flashlights gave us what we needed to find our way around. Faith and I sat and talked and talked and talked. It was really great. Around dinner time we looked at our options. Hummm not many. But I did find a can of Sterno heat so we decided to work with that. We opened a can of beans (we don't have an electric can opener anyway) and some corn and a few other things. I made a type of grill with an old brass flower vase with the Sterno heat and we started to heat up the beans. Faith said it was just like camping. Just as the bean were ready the power came back on and we were able to have a more normal evening meal. Again some large tree limbs broke off but nothing too serious, just a lot of work come this spring. |

| December 31, 2008 | ||
Well it is the last day of the year. Snowing and cold outside. Shoveled the porch and driveway. Also I did a few "when I get around to it" chores and if the roads are ok will attend services tonight at our church. It was great to have all the kids home for Christmas. It was really a wonderful Christmas. |
| December 17 | ||
Ice, snow and cold are words that mark the last few days. The other night I was sitting in my office when I heard a terrible scraping sound outside. Kind a like a snow plow on dry payment. I look out my window and in the dim light of the night I saw half of a very large tree horizontal on my lawn just feet from my window. Needless to say I spent the next few days cutting and hauling it away. Praise God it missed the house. More snow predicted this weekend. My 4 Joys (granddaughters) helped me put up our Christmas tree. We had a lot of fun and this year it didn't fall down like last year. Tim, Ben and Jonathan will be coming up for Christmas, (Matt is already here) It's not very often all the family is together. |
| December 12 | ||
How could it be December already?? Time flies when you have fun. We had most wonderful Thanksgiving. We had a sweet church family over to share the day and Matt and his family joined us afterwards. It looks like all the boys and family will be home for Christmas. This does not happen often so I am looking forward to that. My snow plow man stopped by last night. Reminds me to get the shovels out of the garage and into the back porch. |

| Nov. 18 - The Light Bulb Blunder! | ||
It sure is getting colder but yet there are some pretty nice days too. We had a strong wind the past few days that was nice enough to carry most of my fallen leaves away. Talk about not checking the simple things first ... Faith informed me the light in the upstairs hallway burned out. So up I go with stool in hand (tall people don't know what a stool is) to replace the light. With my master skills of mechanics I successfully removed the glass shade. When I went to unscrew the bulb it was kind a frozen in the socket and the bulb broke. Oh no problem for a wizard like me. Went to the basement, clicked off the circuit breaker then with a pair of needle nose pliers removed the base of the bulb. In so doing I also moved the ceramic housing some. Nothing to be concerned about. Ok then I put in a new light bulb. Put everything back with no extra parts even... flipped the switch.. And NO LIGHT .. Oh ok, I broke the fixture. It was old anyway, it was there since 1938 time for it to be replaced anyway. Off to Home Depot. Got a nice light for $6.29 .. .good deal. Got home and spent most of the afternoon making it fit. The new fixture did not match up to the old one. I guess they changed some things since 1938. Well, got the fixture bolted in after cutting some screws and bending some brackets etc. Put every back, installed that new bulb, replaced the shade and hit the switch. NOTHING but darkness. (Yes I reset the breaker for power on). I took it all apart AGAIN. Redid the wiring. Put it all back together, flipped the switch... DARKNESS. Just for haha's I took the new bulb to another light and it didn't work there either. The new bulb was defective. Had I just checked it at the start I would not have had to replace the fixture at all, saved myself $6.29 (plus gas) and a whole afternoon of time. So simple. Next time I am checking the new bulb first! |

| October 28 - Been to Alaska? | ||
Has anyone been on an Alaskan cruse? This June Faith and I will be married 40 years and I thought we should do something special. The idea of an Alaskan cruise seems appealing. If you have any input I sure would love to hear it. Of course, the Lord will have to provide but that has been the case for the past 39 years anyway. The new car, well really used new car, seems to be working very well. On my trips I am averaging 34.2 mpg and 31 around town. I am happy with that. Not bad for a 3.5 engine. I was not sure the onboard computer was correct so I did it manually counting the gallons and mile and sure enough it was right on target. It rides good. Its my first Chevy ever (Impala). |

| October 17 | ||
Ahh the leaves are changing and will soon need racking, unless the Lord sends a strong and mighty western wind. With the cooler weather a few mice been making their way to our warmer house. I have been "relocating them" I have been getting the house and yard ready for winter. Now I am only 3 Revivals behind in my posting. By this weekend at least one maybe two more will be posted. Many thanks to all those who have upheld us in our prayers following our head on collision. Faith and I are so thankful for the tenderness and kindness of those who are helping us meet this unbudgeted new expense. Like an old pair of good boots.. I miss my Intrepid. |

| Sept 30 | ||
The working of God is so wonderful. I have not had much time to keep up with the blog nor my Evangelism an Revival Report. I do hope to have a lot done with week. After the accident our vision has been enlarged and faith encouraged. Most of our bruises and tender spots have been healed. Faith still has two tender spots where the seat belts held her in place. My biggest problem is reliving over and over again in my mind the lights of the oncoming car, the cry of Faith calling my name seconds before the crash and the big bang and impact. But I do have a peace in my heart and try to keep my mind stayed on the Lord. Out side of this blog I have made no calls or letters as to our need. I did tell my Heavenly Father that I am going to need help. As word spread some have sent us help in purchasing another car. I write this with tears in my eyes having just gotten off the phone with a pastor whose church took up a special offering for us. I am so much in debt to the Lord and His people. |
| Sept. 13 - Head on collision | ||
It is 12:18 AM as I write this. Faith and I just returned home from a wedding. On the way home we had a head on collision which totaled the car. We are 100% ok. The driver in the other car is also 100% ok. But both cars are fully destroyed. We are shaken up but other wise seem to be ok. A car can be replaced. We need your prayers for the Lord help and guidance in the days ahead. We are so thankful for the Lord's goodness in sparing any injury. Thank you for standing by us in prayer during this time. |

| August 28 | ||

Sometimes phone call can be bad or good. A preacher receives both. This week I received TWO very good and encouraging calls. One was from a young man in Texas. He came to the revival meeting I held there a short while back. He had gotten save and baptized. He called to tell me he moved but is still loving and living for the Lord. A second call came from a Pastor that asked me to preach at a Father/Son banquet. He told me that one man that was there and never heard the Gospel came back for a church service and received the Lord. The seed was deeply planted and the Lord gave a harvest. This reminds me that God's is always faithful but not on our time table. |

| August 23 | ||
After a very very busy July and August, things are now slowing down. The North Carolina meeting were exceptionally blessed by the Lord. As were the meetings in Texas, Rhode Island, Massachusetts and New York. The new refrigerator is working well, even the ice maker! Today Faith and I will be working outside getting caught up on some yard work (I wish grass and bushes would go on vacation, but they keep growing) The car is now over 215,000 miles and seems to be running very well. I am currently four meetings behind in the posting in the Evangelism and Revival Report of the site. Hope to get to some of that later today. |

It's hard to believe that Faith will start school in less than three weeks. The summer just flew by so fast. We didn't have a vacation this summer so we are taking a few extra days on our way to North Carolina to visit Lancaster PA. While there we plan on seeing the Sight and Sounds presentation of Creation. We have a meeting at the Springmore Baptist Church NC, where Jonathan is ministering in music. Our plans are to see Tim and Trish in VA on our way back. We replaced our fifteen year old refrigerator the other day. It's nice and should save on the electricity bill as the old one was a pre-energy savings model. This also has solved my Ice Maker problem. |

| July 24 | ||
We were not home long before our meeting in Akron New York. We had a really good Family Conference. Immediate changes were made in homes and families. Today is my oldest son's birthday. Happy Birthday Tim Lots of rain the last two days. I have been chopping down the "honey do" list that Faith has for me. I was told it would cost $1,000 to fix my car A/C. But thanks to my mechanic cousin I did not have to have spend that. A sealant was added and now I am "cool" again. Received word that the wife of a Pastor friend has been diagnosed with cancer. Please pray for them. |

| July 15 | ||
Faith and I returned home (on her birthday) from our Texas trip with great rejoicing. The Lord saved souls, new converts were baptized and believers drawn closer to the Lord. While at the Austin Airport we saw and elderly woman look very confused. We asked if we could help her. She was dropped off and really was lost as to what to do. We helped her get her boarding pass and wheel chair. Later we found out her son was a believer and met him before we left. Such a joy to know we can be a blessing to others. I will post more as soon as I can on the Revival and Evangelism page. Yep the grass needs cutting and I should get to that this afternoon. In two days we leave for upstate New York for a Family Conference. |

| June 21 | ||
I think I might have fixed the A/C on the car. Repair shops wanted over $1,000, but thanks to my cousin (owns a repair shop) putting in a can of stop leak it been working good so far for a week. Faith and I were able to clear out a lot brush along the side of our driveway this week. Faith and I attended the wedding of a fine young couple of our church. I don't know how long it has been since I saw a bride actually blush at the first kiss. Others might have but I was really up close this time so it was more obvious. Nice to see innocents in the lives of young people today. I start a week long Revival meeting in NY this week then off to Texas for three weeks. |
| June 10 | ||
Faith and I returned from an Eight Day Tent Meeting with rejoicing hearts. Many were saved and so many lives touched. (I am really working hard to get the Evangelism and Revival Report up to date). All five lawns had to be mowed, which I did yesterday. Its been in the 90's. The A/C on my car needs repair to the tune of $1,000, so I will sweat it out until that can be fixed. While in the Tent meeting, Faith and I celebrated our 39th wedding anniversary!! Matt and his family came down for the weekend and he preached several times as well. |

| June 1 - Cake and Boots | ||
Mrs. Souza is finally back as my full time wife (I share her with the Christian School). School is finished and she will be traveling with me this summer. Last night Matt and the family were up for a double Birthday party. Jenna, my youngest granddaughter was born within 3 hours of my birthday so we celebrate together. Ben my third son was born ON my birthday. He is currently in Ohio. The girls rode the tractor and later we all played boccie ball. We leave soon for a Tent Meeting in New Jersey. ![]() Jenna showing off her New Boots. ![]() |

| May 26 Memoral Day | ||
Today I returned from a three day meeting in Medina NY. It is Memorial Day. As I traveled I listened to a live radio broadcast of a local Memorial Day service. It reminded me how much we owe those who died so we could live in freedom. As I drove the highway, there were no check points and no road blocks. I was free to travel as I wished. God Bless America - AGAIN It's good to be back home. Faith finishes up school and will be with me in my travels this summer. |
| May 20 | ||
Faith and I attended the New England Baptist College graduation. It was the first graduating class of the student body that entered as freshman four years ago. In all sixteen graduated into fields of Christian service. So far I have been able to keep up with the yard work between meetings, had the oil changed in my car and got caught up on various small projects. This Thursday I will preach at the Eighth Grade graduation service of Central Baptist Church. |
| May 9 | ||
I can't believe how busy the Lord is keeping me. As of now I don't have an open Sunday until the end of the year. Lately I have been to Michigan and Massachusetts with wonderful blessings of the Lord. In between meetings I was able to finish up the yard work, cleaning up from the winter mess. Had my Brother Bob and his wife Nancy visit from Washington state for a week. Wonderful family time. Fired up the lawn mower and grill for the first time. That makes a sure sign of summer! |
| April 10 | ||
A few minutes ago I received a phone call telling me of a very dear Christian woman in our church, going home to Glory. Faith and I had visited her a few times during her hospital stay and planned to go back this evening. But her appointment with the Lord came first. As always it is a bitter/sweet time. Faith would pick her up for each service and I would also when I was local. She always was the picture of what a Christian should be. She had the sweetest spirit and the most tender heart you could imagine. She rests now from her labors in the joy and presents of the Lord Jesus Christ. |

| April 2 | ||

My plumbing skill are improving!! Fixed the tub drain. Thanks to Liquid Plumber. I saw my first Robin the other day, a sure sign of Spring. I have some yard work that needs to get done, but not as much as in past years. I won't even need the chain saw this year as the branches are not like the limbs that broke off in the past. I had a pink slip (canceled meeting-thus laid off ) this week so was able to finish my taxes and get caught up on a lot of office and household things. For a long time I have had some neck and shoulder problems that have gotten worse. I will see a doctor this week. The pain before was just a nuisance but now has become more dominate but not really restrictive, except in sleeping. |
| March 10 | ||
Lots of rain and wind the past few days. Rivers are at flood stages, but nothing seems to be affecting us here much. Just a very slight seepage in the basement. Not even enough to run the sump pump. Faith and I were able to attend the Spring Banquet at our church. Most times I am in meetings somewhere else. It was enjoyable to see my church family again and renew our fellowship. I hope to finish my taxes this week -- pray for meeeeeeeeeeee. |

| March 6 | ||
| I returned from sunny warm Florida to cold and cloudy Connecticut. When I walked in the house Faith had left me a note. How sweet I thought to have a loving message waiting for me. The note was simple .. "There is something wrong the furnace - no heat" It did however say she loved me and that put a smile on my face . Hummm, why does the word "Snow Bird" enter my mind!! (its what they call people from the north who go south for the winter). Well $385.00 later we have heat. Again I hear the echo "Snow Bird". But I know New England is where the Lord wants me. | ||
| February 23 | ||
Faith had President's Day off from school so we spent time together - cleaning the basement. I found stuff I forgot I had. Yesterday school was canceled due to more snow, about 7" in all. Been working on my Income Tax. I am amazed that living in the "Land of the Free" cost so much. But again it looks like I do not fit into any income bracket high enough to pay any tax. In two hours I will leave to fly to Deltona Florida for 10 days. Roads and sky are clear so should be no problem. |
| Feb. 15 | ||
Been cold, with snow and ice. Faith had no school on Wednesday due to the storm. We spent the day together doing things around the house. I did get the kitchen faucet installed. It went well (remember I am not a plumber by any means of the imagination) But I did have one problem. The part that connects for the spray hose was supposed to just "snap" on. Well, I got it on and when I turned on water it spayed all right - all over me, on my back .. In the cabinet under the sink. For the life of me I could not get it to "snap" on. Then I found the part was defective. Got a new one and it did "snap" on and now only sprays when you push the button. I'll stick to my calling - Preaching. |

| Feb. 6 | ||

Had a great Christmas. All but Tim were home. New Years was spent at church. Yesterday we had to get fuel oil for the first time since mid winter last year, so we did stretch it pretty good. Really had great meetings in January ( will post them very soon). Fixed the bathroom faucet and now I have to put in a new fixture in the kitchen sink. God did not call me to be a plumber -- thats for sure. When I was replacing the stem in the bathroom sink I had the hot and cold supply reversed. So after I got them right, I could not get the stem to seat all the way down in the fixture. Sooooooo I pulled it out... only thing was I forgot to turn the water off and well, yes, you guessed it .. I was soaked, the wall was soaked, and the ceiling was dripping. I won't quit my day job for plumbing. So you plumbers out there -- your career is safe. |

| December 18 - Mail Box | ||
The first snow storm ended with about 9 inches on my front lawn and driveway. It was light an fluffy and easy to move. However, a second storm came two days later and it was mostly sleet, freezing rain and snow all mixed together. And YEP this was the storm that GOT MY MAIL BOX! Seems like each year my mail box gets hit. Once by a police car (that was interesting), once by an out of control car, by vandalism, but mostly by the states snow plows. Well, today I put the box back up with 5/8 inch bolts with 1 and half inch washers. I feel so confident that it will now withstand ANY plows flying snow that I am tempted to put a target on it!! Ok such boasting is foolish -- just let me have my humble smug grin then. |
| December 13 - SNOW | ||
Right now we are having a snow fall of six inches so far and it's still falling. The prediction is about 8-10 inches. I have been in a Christian School Revival this week but today it was canceled. Faith had school canceled also so we thought it would be a good time to put the Christmas things around the house. With Christmas music playing, the snow falling outside, a nice warm cup of tea and decorations all around .. it looks like Christmas for sure. They say this weekend we are to get a bigger storm... over a foot of snow predicted. Ahh the Northeast is a great place to live. Ok, all my friends in Florida, Texas, and those down south .... remember not to covet my snow! |

| December 7 | ||

Always amazes me how fast time moves -- We all had a great Thanksgiving time. Matt, Trish and the girls came up for the day. Made a big pile of leaves in the back yard then the girls and myself jumped in them and had a blast throwing leaves at each other. But for a short time we did lose one in the pile. But she popped out in a dramatic fashion. I taught a class a the New England Baptist College which I enjoyed very much. Been busy around the house when home. Fixed the shower faucet among the many fix it jobs building up. Sent out a bunch of Tracts orders to 7 states yesterday. All but one Revival Report are now posted. Finally getting caught up on that part of the ministry. |
| Nov 20 | ||
The snow, the snow, the snow -- yeah it snowed today. Not much were I live but some places got over 4 inches. Now I have to put the snow shovels on the back porch. Oh well, that time of year. We finally had to turn on the heat in the house. I was hoping to make it to Thanksgiving! We are able to keep the thermostat at 60 so far but expect to have to raise it to our normal setting of 65 as winter comes in full force. Matt and his family will be with us for Thanksgiving. Had my annual physical this week. Everything seems to be ok for which I am thankful. |

| Nov 4 | ||

Had a fantastic meeting out in Kansas at the Hillcrest Bible Baptist Church. I was a bit worried on my return fight home. It seemed like I could not get a seat picked on the plane online. The system showed all seats reserved. But when I checked in they put me ROW 2. Wow never been in that class before. I have just about gotten the yard work done for winter. Cut some low branches hanging over the driveway and the yearly cutting of the umbrella trees. Now the leaves are falling. As is my custom I wait for a very strong wind to blow them away. I also have to bring the grill into the garage. One winter I was wondering what that funny looking snow man was out in the back yard. |

| Oct 17 - Car passed 200,000 miles | ||
Well, praise the Lord, the car passed 200,000 miles and the tires have all stayed on too!! Had a great trip to New Jersey and returned home to a list of "to do's". Got most of them done and will now prepare a report to my home church during our Mission Conference this week, then will fly to Kansas for a Revival Meeting. Been cool but we have not turned on the heat yet. It's about 60 degrees most of the time so its not bad. |
| Oct 10 | ||
The leaves are changing color and look so pretty. Now I go from mowing the lawn to raking leaves!! I am praying for a strong wind to blow them away .. Only problem is that as my leaves go my neighbors come. With the car fixed I just returned from a trip of over 2,100 miles from Maine to Ohio to Pennsylvania and now to New Jersey. The Lord saved a good number of souls and all my tires stayed on the car this time too. On this trip I will have turned over 200,000 miles. |
| Sept. 13 | ||
Spent the last couple of days at a fellowship meeting. It was a great time and Matt was able to be with me. That made it even more enjoyable. I will need to get to the grass again and start to get the house ready for winter. I will be in NJ, ME and OH the next few weeks. I got word from the State of Connecticut that my name and SS number (and Faith's) were on a laptop stolen from a state employee. The state is giving fraud insurance free as well as issuing fraud alters to the major credit bureaus. About 100,000 names were on the laptop. |

| Sept. 1 | ||
The past few days been busy getting estimates on my car fender repair. Looks like Tuesday it will be done. The back field was badly in need of mowing. It was so high I could not cut it in one cut but had to make 3 passes. Also did a lot of small chores around the house (honey do day). We shut down our freezer. Our electricity bill was just so high we are testing to see if that will make a difference. The freezer is over 30 years old and back then they never heard of energy efficacy. We had a turkey in it that we cooked up and Matt and his family came over to help us eat it -- after dinner we played boccie ball. My team actually won this time! Will start a very busy fall and winter schedule tomorrow with 2008 filling up fast. |
| Aug 28 | ||
Wow, six meetings behind in posting the Revival Reports. Should get caught up on these weeks. Spent most of the day getting estimates for the fender repair I need after my tire come off (see previous post). The car is fixed except for the fender. No damage was done to the under structure. I had to replace the hub, rotors and brakes. I will cut the back lawns tonight before dark. Faith started teaching school today in full swing. Only 179 school days before I have her back full time. |

| Aug 22 - Tire came off my car | ||
| Just a quick prayer request. Tonight I was on my way to preach in revival in Brooklyn CT. I just gotten off the interstate when the front tire came off my car. It rolled past me and I watched it go down the road and into the woods. There was much scraping and sparks as the brake rotor scraped on the pavement. Faith and I are ok. I don't know yet about the car. Just pray for God's help and direction and also praise Him there were no injuries to us or other cars. | ||

It's been warm, but I have no complaints. The Oil Man did not come once this summer! But the heat and rain does make the grass grow faster. I finished the last of mowing this afternoon. It should last until we return from Tennessee. I was just finishing up my morning shower when all of a sudden the water stopped!! Come to find out the pump down in the well ... 175 feet down ... had died. So call the water pump man and by the end of the day (and almost $1,500 later) the pump was dug up, pulled up, replaced and covered up. Now water flows again .. Ahh how spoiled we are. The worst in the old days I guess would be that rope broke and you lost bucket. Maybe $10.00 for a new rope and $20.00 for another bucket. But then you had to haul it into the house, wipe up the spills and heat it for hot water. I guess I like modern day things -- like indoor plumbing!! |

Returned from seventeen days in Texas with great rejoicing. Preached in Houston, Llano, and Dallas. The Lord saved souls and touched lives in a great way. Hope to post the meeings before the end of the week. We did have a small hang up our departure from Connecticut but thanks to modern day laptops and cell phones all worked out well. The grass is not as high as I thought it would be but because of rain I still can not cut it. How sad that makes me feel. Gearing up for VBS at a church nearby then off to Tennessee to preach in Knoxville and spend time with family. Yeah the Ice Maker still not fixed, but at least I am not home long enough for it to matter!! |

In about 3 hours Faith and I will fly to Dallas Texas. We will be in churches in Dallas, Houston and Llano. I mowed the lawns this morning so when I come home I can find the house without having to wade through a jungle. On the 15th Faith will have a birthday. I will celebrate it with her in Texas. Well, need to finish packing -- Ahhhh that is one thing about the rapture.. NO PACKING!! Just a ONE WAY flight to Glory!!! Please pray for these meetings. Pray for the power of the Holy Ghost and the anointing of the Lord through His Word. |

All winter we complained about the cold and now we complain about the heat. Human I guess. With school being out it is such a blessing to have Faith with me all the time in my travels. I always feel a bit more complete when my "rib" is with me. Have to get up on the roof this week to clean out the gutters. It is a twice a year job. We also were able to find a guy that hauls off junk. We kept him busy for while. Cleaned out the basement and removed a shed in the back yard. Now I have more lawn to mow -- hummm Oh yes I had a colonoscopy done this week. NO fun in the preparation, but I was awake for most of it and got to see how God made me in the inside. About the 3rd bend, I caved in and received the pain medication. But no polyps were found at all. So I have 10 years before I have to have it again. Even so come Lord Jesus! Our insurance did not cover it but thanks to some churches we were able to save for it. God is so faithful and His people so wonderful -- Sometimes I really miss being a Pastor but I love what I am doing. |

Things really been busy around here and there is no sign of letting up. Faith and I had our 38th wedding anniversary on the 7th. We went out to Olive Garden then just talked about how good the Lord has been to us -- and He surely has been. Will leave tomorrow for New Jersey then off to western New York for meetings. I just barely got the grass mowed before the rain. Will post the meetings in Framingham MA and Middletown RI when I get back next week. Great time in both places. |

There has been a series of thunder storms that have come just about every afternoon for the past few days. Yesterday there was a report of a tornado touching down but no damage was done. For years I have had a grandfathers clock (first owned by my Dad) that was not working. I always wanted to get it running but could not find anyone to work on it. Seems like clock makers have gone the way of shoe makers around here. Last night a good Christian brother came over and worked on it and now its working like new. It tells the time and chimes each quarter hour. A small blessing it may seem to many, but to me it was a long awaited desire fulfilled. Yeah I know .... the ice maker again. Oh well looks like I will be away so much this summer that it can wait. |

I finally stopped the leak on the hot water heater! We had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. Preached in New Bedford MA on Sunday with four adults saved. On Monday, Matt and his family came up for beautiful day of picnic and fellowship. The girls rode the John Deere, played kick ball and we all played Boccie Ball. As I was putting the American Flag on the flag pole I paused to thank the Lord for our country and prayed for those who made and keep America free. |

I woke up this morning to my wife (Faith) singing "Happy Birthday" to me. Yeah, I made it to the 61st year of my life. God has been good to me. I am amazed at the number friends that rememberd. Also just a few minutes ago I received word on the home going of a most dear and loved friend. Grace Prindle and her husband were so very influential to me in the early days of my ministry. Grace was carried home just a few minutes ago to enter the presents of the Lord. I will miss her but most of all I will miss her faithful prayers for us. Last night we attended the high school graduation at Central. In the morning I leave for a meeting in New Bedford MA. |

I can't believe how fast the grass is growing this year. Must be all the rain we had. I had to replace our hot water heater. A simple job I thought. We gave some thought to a tankless water heater but decided to go with a tank system. It was very hard to find one that met our requirement as to size, space and LP needs. Found one but seems like I can't stop a leak from the inlets. Will take it apart, clean the fitting and try again. Other than that it seems to be ok. I will be cooking hot dogs for the Christian school picnic this week as well. Oh yes, had a great time in New Hampshire with a Christian School revival there. Will post it soon. |

Been a pretty busy time gearing up for a very busy summer. Faith and I went to the High School spring play at Central Christian Academy (where she teaches). A good message on the need of salvation was presented. The next night I preached in a Youth Rally at Harvest Baptist Church in New Hartford, CT. About 60 young people were present. Six came forward to be dealt with in the matter of salvation and a host of others flooded the altar with a new commitment to live the changed Christian life consistently day by day. |

Today Faith and I went to a funeral of a long time friend. He joins his wife in glory. I am reminded that life is short and we must be about our fathers business As I mentioned two of our granddaughters had birthdays that we celebrated last Friday. On Saturday night I preached at a Men's Dinner Fellowship. Two men responded at the invitation for the need of their souls, while many others asked the Lord for a new vision and zeal to live for Him. On Sunday (will post the meeting soon) I preached in Fairhaven MA and three also responded positively to the invitation of the Lord then on Sunday night I was in New Before MA. So been kept pretty busy. The basement is now dry!!! The grass is cut. The yard is raked and cleaned up ... .humm now what am I going to do with all my spare time???? -- oh yeah the ice maker needs fixing (again) But that is another story. |

Things are starting to get really busy for me now. The yard work is just about finished and I mowed the back lawn yesterday. The front seems to grow slower. I am putting together my July trip to Texas. The Lord worked it out that Faith and I can both fly round trip for a total of $80.00!! It will cost more for car rental than airfare and who knows what gas prices will be. We will be in Texas almost the whole month. The basement has now all been dried out and the dehumidifier is working hard to keep it that way. It's nice to have the windows open and fresh air flowing. Tomorrow we will be at Matt's to celebrate Johanna and Jenna birthday (AKA Pumpkin and Cupcake). |

The heavy rains have stopped and now I am drying out the basement. In between meetings I have been working in clearing the yard. The grand kids were up and I took them on the tractor ride they have been asking for all winter. This week we have Revival meetings in our church here in Waterbury. I received word from the First Baptist Church in Stetson ME that they have now taken us on for support.. Praise the Lord. Also Berean Baptist Church in Guilderland Center, NY has raised our support. This is an answer to prayer to which we only told the Lord. Thank God for those who are sensitive to the leading of God in their lives. Somewhere along the line I need to fix the ice maker again |

It has been a wet spring for sure. Record rainfall and flooding seems to be the norm the last few days. My basement is wet but not flooded, thanks to a sump pump that has been working very hard. With the rain showers also come the Heavenly showers. The revival in NJ saw at least 6 saved and last week in RI another 2. This week I am in the Spring Bible Conference at Central Baptist Church in Southington. Next week is Revival in my home church, Lighthouse Baptist, Waterbury |

Faith and I have been doing some yard work. Found more muscles in my body that I didn't know I had. We reclaimed about 12 feet of land over taken my brush. Amazing how much wild things grow!! I will leave for a revival at the Rosedale Baptist Church in NJ at noon Wednesday. The meeting will close out Easter Sunday. After a kind a quite March, things now get really busy for me thorough the summer. Look like we will be in Texas for the month of July. Ahh yes... finished and sent in my taxes today as well. I wonder why we call ourselves "the land of the FREE?" -- But I do thank God for America and all the men and women who are now standing to keep us in the freedom we enjoy. |

The Robins are here!! A good sign of Spring and a welcome one at that. Now that the snow no longer covers the ground, I can see all the work in cleaning up the mess that Winter has left behind. But at least now the mud in our driveway is drying up. I was able to talk to a delivery man about his soul. He seem receptive and took the tract offered to him. We are looking into a tankless hot water heater for the house. Will check out Home Depot. Also a friend of mine will help me rewire our electrical system here. A much needed and long over due project. |

The signs of spring looked good. But now they are saying some heavy snow is coming Friday night. I am still going with the ground hog. Got a new mailing out. If you don't receive our letters you can see it on line from my site. Tuesday night we went to the Spring program at Central Christian Academy. All the classes did a great job but with out sounding too prejudice I do think Mrs. Souza's class was the most outstanding. |

Been getting warmer after some record cold days and nights. A lot of snow has melted and with some heavy rains had some water in the basement. Not much. The sump pump didn't even kick in. Been working our income taxes. Amazing how much paper work is involved to get the allowable deductions for the ministry. Faith and I will attend the Spring Banquet of our church tonight. |

Yesterday morning at the truck stop I talked to a Hindu man. He said he would accept Jesus and add him to his other gods. When I explained to him that it is not adding Jesus but calling on his name as the ONLY true and living God, he then said he could not do that and walked away. Sad Sunday night I was at my home church to see two of my granddaughters get baptized by Matt, their father. It was a special time. Brought Faith's car in for an oil change this morning and now getting caught up on some office work and much neglected correspondence. . |

Been trying to get caught up on the web site. I put up a new poll sent on from guest and put the up page for the Snow Camp. Faith and I both had dentist appointments on Monday for routine cleaning. All looked well with no problems for each of us. I was reminded while out shopping about the spiritual darkness enslaving people. Saw many with the "ashes" on their forehead last Wednesday. Matt and his family were here last Sunday for dinner. Amazing how fast the grandchildren grow. Two will be baptized this Sunday. |

One of the joys of the ministry is to see young men raise up in the ranks. I was part of an ordination service for Brother John, a member of our church here in Waterbury. He was well prepared and defended the faith exceptionally well. Praise the Lord. Been preaching at the Lakes Pond Baptist Church in Waterford with great blessings of God. The last service had to be postponed because of two snow storms that came back to back. Will now spend some time clearing the snow. One good thing about the snow was that I was able to spend the day with my wife since school was called off. |

Snow Camp was awesome!! Five saved, many rededications AND almost every young man was willing to surrender to full time preaching ministry, if the Lord so led them. Many campers signed a Camp Pledge Poster. . . Putting their name to tell the world they are "NOT FOR SALE". They been bought with a price and no offer of the world, flesh or devil can buy them. This poster is now hung in my garage as a reminder to me to pray for them. I started my taxes .. Now where is that fish with the coin in its mouth? |

Many of you know that my dad was an Ice Man. For those of you who are too young to remember, there was day before TV, Micro waves, and Refrigerators. I remember working in the old Ice House and on the Ice Truck as he would deliver ice to customers. Well, of course today this is no longer an occupation. But I think my ice maker has it in for me. Again it broke. Just something to add to the list. I have never been as busy in January as I have this year. I am behind in just about everything. I am preparing now for two Winter camps along with the scheduled Revival meetings. The ice maker will have to wait! Again. |

Someone once said they believed in reincarnation because no one can get this far behind in just one lifetime! I can relate to the sentiments of that statement at times. We had a most wonderful Christmas and New Year. All the family were here with the exception of Tim and Trish who spend Christmas with Trish's folks in North Carolina. We missed them but fully understand. Jonathan flew in and then out to Chicago to photograph a wedding. Ben drove back to Ohio and Faith and I kidnaped the grandchildren from Matt and Tricia. I am now preparing the yearly news letter for 2006. There is much to praise God for. 2007 and 2008 are looking to be busy years in the ministry. With 185,000 miles on the car some routine maintenance had to be done and new tires. The Lord provided through His people a way for this to be paid for. Faith and I praise the Lord for pastor, churches and friends who CARE for us. It makes us feel humble and very grateful. Well, I must go and fix up a clog in the shower. But the ice maker is fixed and working! |

Last night Faith and I were at the Harvest Baptist Church in Torrington, for a Christmas fellowship. What a blessed time it was. I had a VERY new experience in my preaching. The fellowship was held in a members home in which a very large crowd gathered. All 5 down stairs rooms and hallways were filled for the meal. When it came time to preach I had to walk around the house through each room as I spoke. I have heard of circuit riding preachers of the past but I was a circuit boot walking preacher last night. |

It been an interesting week. The weather has been like a Yoyo, up and down. But from what I hear cold and snow may be coming in the morning. Faith called me to tell me she was stuck on the road. The car was overheating. I went down and saw that it need to be towed. Called AAA. The driver of the tow truck was hurt in a motorcycle accident and had an artificial leg. At one point he asked me if I would do something for him (move the car a bit) I told him I would do anything he asked. He then said to me "How about getting me a new leg -haha" I told that can be done! He looked at me and said. "No I mean a real one" I said sure that is what I meant. Of course he asked how, I told him if he got saved when he died he would get a new leg and a whole new body. His response was sad. He said, "Oh then forget it" |

Like most of us we are gearing up for Christmas. The grand girls came over and helped us put the tree this past weekend. Sunday we were in Middletown RI as we usually are on the first Sunday in December. It was a great meeting. Will get that post up as soon as I do the Medina meeting. Some snow flakes were blowing around today. Nothing to speak of yet. I actually started to "think" about my Christmas shopping and it's not even the 23rd yet. |

Had a wonderful Thanksgiving here at home. I preached the Thanksgiving message at my home church here in Waterbury. Afterwards we had the traditional "pie fellowship". Jonathan drove up from North Carolina and Matt and his family were with us. It was really a blessing to have a full table of food and a house of NOISE again. (Mrs. Souza is not a noise maker-but I make up for it) I loved putting all the sections into the table making it over nine feet long. I just sat there and was thankful for all our friends in the ministry who have made it possible for us to carry on the work He has called us to do. Has some maintenance done on the car and will start looking for deals on tires before winter sets in. And no, the ice maker is not fixed yet! |

This morning and afternoon I was at the Grace Baptist Church in Windsor, CT, for the "Young at Hearts" Thanksgiving service and dinner. It was a most delightful time. The testimonies, the service, and of course the Thanksgiving meal were just wonderful. Pastor Stephens now has been there for 2 years and the Lord is blessing the minsitry(in spite of him being a North Carolina Tar Heels fan!!) The wind is now kicking up and they predict stronger winds throughout the night with heavy rain. Faith and I leave in the afternoon for a meeting in Medina NY. |

The past week sure has been busy for us. Between meetings Faith and worked the election polls for our town. She was a "checker" which means she checked to see if people were registered to vote. I was a "machine tender". I stood by the actual voting machine to be sure it was working and folks knew how to insert their ballot. It was a long day .. 14 hours. But it was fun. Been getting the house ready for winter. Locking down the windows and putting up storm windows in my office and back porch. I still need to get the Ice Maker fixed!! I was going to do that but then the shower drain got clogged and that took first place on the list. Also today went to the doctor for a check up and out side of getting older everything seems to be ok. |

The meetings in Maine at the Grace Baptist Church in Gardiner went well. A bus Mom got saved! Did I say the meetings went well? ... that alone made the meeting GREAT! Ben is home for the weekend and Matt and his family are joining us for lunch today. I will leave this afternoon for Brockton MA for a meeting tonight and off to New Bedford in the morning. This will mean I will drive 3 hours up and 3 hours back today then again 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours back tomorrow. I think my car wants a vacation! |

Winter is starting to push its way into New England with some very cool nights and even days. Filled my oil tank and was reminded of something. My oil man is the son of the family that first stopped by my house to bring to Sunday School and church many years ago. I really didn't recognize him but he did me and brought this to my attention. I am thankful for (before the days of the bus ministry) those who cared for a kid living on Minor Mountain. Also we had a very pleasant visit with one of Faith's Bible college roommates who was visiting New England from Colorado. She and her husband stayed a couple days with us and renewed a 40 year friendship. She was also a brides maid in our wedding 37 years ago. My heart was so warmed to visit with them and see their love for the Lord and determination to stay true to the Word of God in an age when change seems to be "spiritual" |

It's so hard to believe how fast the summer has gone. The fall is looking beautiful with the changing leaves but alas.... soon they will fall and will need to be raked. A good north wind could take care of most them!! I am getting caught up in the Reports section of the web site. I am home for three days then off again to preach a mission conference in New York state. I just returned from a soul winning meeting in New Jersey. We knocked on 1,100+ doors. Souls were saved and visitors came to the services. More in the report later. |

The cool weather is a welcome change from the hot summer days. The trees are turning colors and soon will have to be raked. Amazing how many leaves one tree can have. The Mission Conference went well at Lighthouse and I was able to give a report on the Lord's hand on my ministry. We met our goal and have added new missionaries to our Mission Family. The ladies of the church presented hand made quilts to all the missionary wives. My wife had gone several nights to help make them and she was very much surprised to find that she also was included in receiving a quilt. Also the Pastor's wife received one. It seemed that when my wife was there they worked on my Pastor's wife quilt and when she was there they worked on Faith's. Both were over joyed at this unexpected blessing. |

It has been a crazy travel time, but I love it. One week I am in Maine then in Florida then back to Maine. But the Lord blessed in souls saved and a good spirit of revival. I THINK I mowed for the last time this year .. Ahh now for the rake. Our church starts it Mission Conference this week. I love this meeting... I am not only a missionary from the church but I get to GIVE in Faith Promise too!! Oh yeah.. I will be getting to posting the Revival Reports .. Promise! |

The days are getting shorter and next month the time will change making it get darker earlier. Reminds of what Jesus said "I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. John 9:4 Got back from Maine and will head for Deltona Florida on Saturday then back to Maine the next weekend. I still have to fix the ice maker leak on the refrigerator and get the yard ready for winter. The oil man filled our heating oil tank yesterday--- ouch! |

This week I have been preaching the Fall Revival at the New England Baptist College in Southington CT. What a wonderful group of young people. The Lord spoke and hearts heard. I finish up tomorrow then head to Maine for a meeting. Today I did get to mow the lawns after a very wet couple of weeks. |

Faith called out to me "Honey there's water in the basement." Sure enough it was dripping from the floor above. The hose to the ice maker sprung a leak. Well, add it to the "honey do" list. After a few days of sunshine .. It raining again!! Today I am to speak to about 50 kids at a back to school picnic. Might be moved inside if the rain is a problem. In the morning I am speaking at the Central Baptist Church in Southington then each day I am at New England Baptist College speaking for the week in chapel. Then off to Maine. |

Been raining the last few days. Faith and I baby sat four of the sweetest, greatest and prettiest granddaughters in the world the other night. You know Matt makes me say that!!! And if he didn't my wife would!! I don't feel like a granddad but I sure act like one. Preached recently and unexpectedly at my home church, Lighthouse Baptist in Waterbury. I felt great liberty there as the Lord touched hearts. Many thanks for the Brothers who Souza sized the pulpit. Faith started school with a class of 17 first/second graders. Ah only 178 more school days to go. |

Returned from our family time in Washington DC area. We stayed with Tim and Trish in their home. Jonathan came up from NC and Faith's family came from FL. Had a great time visiting the Capital buildings and spending time with family. Pastor Edwards of the Heritage Baptist Church (Where Tim is on pastoral staff) asked me to preach Wednesday night. It was such an honor to stand in that great pulpit. The Lord blessed the preaching of His Word. I will preach in my home church Sunday Morning filling in while my pastor is gone. |

I have the cleanest basement in town now (see previous days). But the Honey do list is shrinking. Replaced two electrical dimmers, handles on cabinets and mowed the lawns. But it really is nice just spending the time with my wife, Faith, doing things. Especially since I am gone so much. Had a great talk to a wrong number this afternoon. Told him maybe it was not really a wrong number after all. I was able to give him the plan of salvation. He was Jewish and didn't think much of God because of all the suffering in the world. He had little concern for eternity. How sad. |

I think I have it figured out -- Cold in the Winter and HOT in the summer. Yeah that makes sense. OK then no complaining. Well its up the hundred mark and that means back to cleaning the basement. That is Faith's idea of A/C. But I must admit it is cooler and we do get a clean basement out of it. In between we are getting ready for our vacation in with family in the DC area. Tim (oldest son) and his wife Trish live in Dale City as well as Faith's sister and her family. Faith's brother and his family are coming up from Florida and hopefully the rest of our boys will be there also. |
| Aug. 1 | ||
| Well as in most parts of the northeast, its been HOT. In the next few days they are saying it will top 100 with a heat index of 110. My wife had come up with a great way to beat the heat. We are going to clean the basement. Some how its not as relaxing sounding as sitting and drinking lemon aide. | ||

Mrs. Souza and I have returned from camp very tired and very joyful. The Lord poured out His Blessings each and every service and in the activities. I have 3 other meetings to post before I get to the camp on the Revival Report page. Between 12-15 were saved!!! Will tell more later in the report section. Today I will do the lawns. Faith has a piano lesson to teach and we must buy food if we are going to eat this week. |

| July 19 - Saint gone on to glory | ||
Today was a day mixed with joy and sadness. Faith and I attended and I briefly spoke at the funeral of not only a Christian man but also my cousin. Anthony Lawrence Jr. When home to be with the Lord July 17. I was his Pastor many years ago. I remember his conversion to Christ, his baptism and his faithful service in the bus ministry. He was our bus mechanic who kept the busses rolling and safe. Today he walks with Jesus and has met those who have gone on to glory, saved through the bus ministry in which he labored. |

It's hot today. About 95 right now and is supposed to be warm the next few days. I am home for a week before leaving for youth camp next week. I did manage to get three church reports posted and now working on the next five. The Lord provided some side work this week while I am home. It's in the morning and only a few hours so I will be able to spend time with the house projects. |

What a busy busy month it has been. I am now five meetings behind in posting to the revival page and I leave for Llano Texas in the morning. But seeing the souls saved and hearts touched has been a real source of strength to keep me going. You will enjoy the reports if I ever get them up I finally was able to mow the lawns after 2 weeks, did that this morning (the one day I had to be home) then did some office work. |

| June 7 --- 37 Years and counting | ||
As of 2pm today... June 7, 2006 Faith and I have been married a full 37 years! What a wonderful 37 years it has been and we are still counting on more to come.... I do thank the Lord for such a wonderful woman to have in my life. A faithful wife, sweet mother and Godly woman is the only way I can explain her character. Tomorrow we leave for New Jersey for a tent meeting. The weather man is predicting rain for the next few days --- but the Lord is in full control. I am expecting to see good results and lasting blessings from this meeting. |

| June 6 | ||

A meeting I had scheduled for the first part of this week was moved to October, so I had a few extra days to work on things in the office and around the house. I Even got to play some horseshoes in the back yard. Faith and I will leave in a couple of days for a tent meeting at the First Baptist Church in Caldwell New Jersey. We have been doing this every other year since..... hummm forever it seems. Please pray for good weather and of course souls saved, backsliders returned and Christians encouraged. |

As many of you know I hit the big 60 on the 26th of May. I thank the Lord for good health and His hand of blessing on me. Thank you also to all that were kind enough to remember me iwth cards and wishes. Matt and his family came over for some cake and ice cream yesterday afternoon. In between the rain I did manage to get my lawns mowed Saturday, and that after 2 weeks of being away. Today we are having a small cook out with some family and friends. June will be a very VERY full month for me. Just about each day has something scheduled, so a short rest before hand is very much appreciated. |

It's been wet to say the least. My sump pump has been working around the clock (thank you Brother Philip for this gift) and keeping my basement from flooding. I did manage to get the lawn mowed before the rain and expect to mow them soon once they dry out. I fixed two leaky faucets and now have a shower to do. Trust me I am not a plumber but so far no leaks. Now if I can only get the water to flow when turned on... hummmmm. I managed to get three meeting posted on the web site and two more will bring me up todate. I also have several thousand tracts to mail. For Faith the school is winding down and I will have my wife back for the summer 100%. |

Well, it had to happen sooner or later. I had to startup the lawn mower and cut the grass. Guess it's official now .. winter is gone. I even got a flat tire on the tractor, need to have that fixed this morning. Also have a couple of leaky faucets that need to be fixed. Last week I went with Faith's class on a field trip to an animal farm. It was a very welcome break. Many have reminded me how far behind I am in the Reports page. The meetings have keep me going and going. I do plan by the end of next week to be ALL caught up. Faith and I leave this afternoon for Warren RI for a 3 day meeting. |

| A near accident averted. I have always asked folks to pray for me when they think of me. Someone was praying at 10:20am. While on I-81 a car in the far left lane decided to make a right hand exit. They crossed 3 lanes in front of heavy traffic. All of a sudden I saw a sea of red tail lights and slammed hard on my brakes coming to a safe stop with cars all over the place in various positions. Thank you for praying. | ||

Had a few days home after the great meeting in Maine. I hope to get the past few meetings posted on the Evangelism and Revival Report page soon. Right now I am on my way to Knoxville TN to preach at the Grace Bible Baptist Church. This is the churches 21st anniversary. The pastor, Brother Robert Barnett and his wife were saved through our bus ministry many years ago. Brother Barnett started this church and has won thousands of souls. I am excited to preach this day with him. We are making a special day of preaching. Thank God for men who believe in old fashioned preaching of the Word! |

Hope to get everyone caught on things since my last update. Faith and I have taken advantage of a few days of nice weather to get most of the yard work done. Got a bit of a sore back from it but none the less out side spring clean up just about finished. The meeting in Riverdale was excellent with souls saved and a Spirit of Revival was kindled Had a physical and looks like everything is OK for a "seasoned" preacher. I was unexpectedly called to preach at Annsville Baptist Church in New York on Easter. Salvation came and redemption of souls was secured. Praise God I was sorry to have missed our planned dinner with the family. I heard that Matt took over my job and did a good job at carving the ham. I leave for Maine on Wednesday for a Faith Promise Mission Conference. Spent today with Faith as she had the day off from school. We visited an Aunt at a home and enjoyed the fellowship and prayer time. |

| Just can't believe it. SNOW in April?? Well it did not last but it was sure white for a while. Spent this week at the Spring Bible Conference at New England Baptist College in Southington. I spoke on Thursday. Today I leave for a meeting in Riverdale, NJ. | ||

Returned from Texas and brought along some warm weather! Had a stack of mail and pile of things to get caught up on not to mention a list of phone calls I must return - but it's nice to be home. My grand girls came by last night and had dinner with us. After that we played RACKO. I lost (again) But we had fun. I received a call this morning to fill in for a pastor whose Guest speaker had to cancel, so Faith and I will be there tonight for their 8th year anniversary banquet at the church. This afternoon we will attend a birthday gathering for a co-worker at the academy. |

Today is the first day of Spring. Well ... that is what calendar says anyway -- it's still cold. But on the plus side you don't have to shovel cold. Went to Matt and Tricia's last night for supper. Faith had to give the girls a piano lesson and we were invited to say. A great time with the granddaughters. On Thursday I will leave for Texas for a week of meetings. Now there I will expect some warm weather. |

Wow, it got cold again today after some very nice warm days. But the sun is shinning. Spring has kept me busy picking up branches and general clean up. The new head light arrived for my car and I put it in. There was some body damage but a friend of mine who owns Maco fixed that for me so the light would fit correctly. Amazing the dealer wanted over $300.00 for the part but I was able to get it on Ebay for $135.00. Looks nice and now I can see at night again. Watched part of the UCONN game last night. What a scare that was but they did manage to win. Tonight Faith and I will attend the Spring Banquet at our church. Last Sunday night I preached and then afterwards the church family met for a meal in honor of Pastor's birthday. Will leave for Orange CT in the morning to be at the Harbour Light Baptist Church. |

Been a while since I have updated the blog. Got back from my trip to North and South Carolina. Should have some pictures posted on the Revival Report soon. Somewhere along the line someone hit the front bumper of my car and broke the headlight on the inside. Worked on that today but will have to replace the whole assembly. My brother Don dropped by . . we chatted for a bit. Just about caught on all the things that "waited" for me when I got home. I have meeting close to home for a couple of weeks then I will go to Texas. They said it might snow again. But today it is the 60's. |
| February 23 | ||
Its been a busy few days. Had to bring Faith's car in for service today to have the starter replaced and an oil change. Made me think of how nice it would be to have a spiritual starter to move us along and get our heart running right, but then I think prayer and devotions are just that. I did get around to making some changes on the web site and have a few more to go. This morning I was able to meet with my preacher and our assistant for a time of prayer. What a blessing. |

| February 22 | ||
Got back from Snow camp and should have my Reports page updated this week. Its gotten cold but no more snow after the pounding last week of 2 feet. Matt and his family were up yesterday. Being away so much it is always nice to spend some time with family between meeting. I have been trying to get caught up on chores that mount when away. I leave for New Jersey this week and then off to South Carolina and then Texas. As always the Lord is GOOD -- All the TIME. |
| February 12 | ||
And it SNOWED .. Over two feet of it so far and its still coming down. My meeting in Boston was canceled and our home church also could not hold services. We have not lost power for which we are thankful. Been outside shoveling. Whoever it was that prayed for snow for Snow Camp next week, please contact me! If you can pray with this much power I have a few other requests I would like to have you pray about. |
| February 11 | ||
Looks like some snow is coming our way this weekend. From what I hear as much as 14 inches could fall. Faith and I will be traveling through it on our way to the Boston area this Sunday. We will be at the Tri-Town Baptist Church in Hull, MA. Snow Camp in New Hampshire will be next week also so I guess in some ways the snow is good. I was able to get our news letter out. If you didn't get one and want one let me know and I will mail one out to you. |
| Feb 1 | ||
I finally finished my report to the churches on the 2005 ministry. You can see on the site under News Letter. Many will also receive it in the mail. Looks like I will be calling my oil man for a delivery today. Our last oil delivery was in October, so the mild winter (for the most part) has helped us a great deal in heating costs. I never realized it until I was talking to the owner of the company that his mom and dad were the ones who picked me up as a youngster to bring me to Sunday School each week. What fond memories I have of them and so thankful for their personal "bus ministry". |
| January 27 | ||
Its been a wacky type of winter. Cold, warm, snow and sun seem to be the cycle this year. This morning I preached in chapel at Central Christian Academy in Southington CT. Spoke on not being a cheater and phony as seen in Ananias in Acts 5. I will preach Sunday in Stafford Springs CT at the Galilean Baptist Church. It will be the last preaching time for me while Brother Ed Jesanis is pastor. He is expanding his ministry in helping churches across America and the church has called a new pastor to be installed in February. |
| January 18 | ||
| It is a VERY windy day. Just a few minutes ago a very large branch from a tree in our front yard snapped. It must be 8-10 inches in diameter. Looks like I will be out with the chain saw as soon as the rain stops. The temperature went up 20 degrees this morning. | ||
| January 17 | ||
It has been a strange winter. First snow, then rain, then sunshine. Faith and I just returned from Vermont where it was 1 degree and snow. And now they predict the temperature to be in the 50's. Yesterday I was at a Verzion store in Massachusetts to have my cell phone checked out. When the technician fired it up my welcome message caught his attention - it was " Pray for Power - Win Souls". He looked at me and said it was very interesting. I asked him if he was a Christian and he said no he was Catholic. He told me he was invited to a Baptist church in Connecticut by his High school football coach last year. I was able to water the seed of the Gospel he heard there. I pray he will be saved. |

I received news that on New Years Eve, a very dear and special saint of God went to be with the Lord. Orissa Shaw now has joined her husband in glory. I led her to the Lord many years ago at her kitchen table. Later that year I led Joe, her husband to the Lord the day after Thanksgiving while he was in the hospital. I preached at her service last night and will this morning conduct the grave side service. Her new year was spent in a new place, with a new body and a new beginning for all of time and eternity. Thank God for the hope that is in those who have put their faith in Jesus Christ. |

The year 2005 is about to close. Our Christmas was the best ever. The fellowship with family and friends will long be remembered. I am so grateful for the many friends we have in so many churches across America. They were so kind to us over this past year. I will begin 2006 in a meeting in New Bedford, MA, on New Years Day. The Lord has me busy for much of the new year. |
| December 24 | ||
Its Christmas Eve. Having a wonderful time with my family. In the morning my family and I will be ministering at the Harvest Baptist Church in New Hartford, CT. This Christmas Eve found us at Matt and Tricia's home for a great time of fellowship. May your Christmas be filled with the love and joy of the Lord. |

| December 8 | ||
Each night this week I have attended a special prayer meeting at Central Baptist Church in Southington CT. In two days. Saturday Dec. 10 there will be a very special Youth Meeting called "Nehemiah's Challenge". New England Baptist College is holding this in a series of several rallies formed to challenge youth for revival.. This will consist of preaching, small prayer groups and Godly counsel.. Please pray for the power of God to fall. I will be preaching twice in challenging young people to build a wall of spiritual defense about their lives. |

| December 3 | ||
At this time Faith and I are in Rhode Island. I am preaching in the services at Calvary Baptist Church in Middletown in the morning. It is predicated to snow in the morning. Brother and Sister Hamilton from the North Tiverton Baptist Church has graciously allowed us to spend the night in their home. That will insure that I would only have to travel 30 minutes in snow rather than 3 hours it would take if we left from our home in Connecticut. I am so thankful for friends in the ministry. God's people are wonderful to be around. No wonder Moses chose them over Egypt!! |
| November 26 | ||
It SNOWED! Not enough to really have to shovel but it does remind me of the faithfulness of the Lord seen in the changing seasons. I had a most wonderful Thanksgiving with my family. Matt and his family along with Ben spent the day enjoying each others company at the house here. I hope to get some work one on the web site and update the Revival page. Many good blessings of the Lord need to be told. I leave to preach in Peekskill NY in the Morning. |
| November 17 | ||

With so many things going on it easy to get behind in things. I am sure we all felt that way. All I can say I am thankful the Lord is always faithful and on time. I have to get several past meeting posted on the Revival page and so some general updating. Currently I am at Lakes Pond Baptist Church in Waterford CT in basically youth meetings. The young people saw three saved yesterday afternoon and the midweek service was a real blessing. I was asked to come back tonight for an unscheduled night services. On Saturday I leave for Ohio to preach at a Mission Conference then fly back on Wednesday to preach the Thanksgiving service at Harvest Baptist Church in New Hartford CT. I will be spending Thanksgiving with my family. |

| Nov. 2 - Brother Bob McKeever Home with the Lord | ||
I received word today that a long time friend and faithful solider of the Lord went to glory after a battle with cancer. Brother Bob McKeever was ushered into the arms of the Savor sometime Monday Oct 31, 2005. Brother McKeever was a faithful preacher of the Gospel. Involved in church planting all over the northeast. His ministry will go on. He also was Director of the New England School of the Bible in Southington CT. I will preach in the morning at the New England Baptist College which will hold a special chapel service in his honor. My family share the sorrow of this loss with Linda, his dear and beloved wife and their children Bethany and Bobby. Brother McKeever walks on gold and now sees face to face the one whom he loved and served. Our loss is Heaven gain. |

I can't believe its been so long since I updated the blog. Time sure flies when you are having fun. Been trying to dry out the basement. Whenever there is a high water table we get water in the basement. Many thanks to Brother Phillip who gave us an automatic sump pump. It was installed the day BEFORE the water came in and has kept the basement from flooding but some surface wetness needs to be dried out. Tonight, Matt brought the girls up and stayed for supper. Sure love this Granddad business. Faith and I leave in the morning to preach in Rhode Island. Well I will preach and she will play the piano. |
| October 4 | ||
Having a few days home allowed me to start getting ready for the winter months. I leave in the morning for a Soul-Winning Conference in New Jersey. Yesterday I had lunch with two preachers and when we went to leave the restaurant a lady stopped us. She over heard our talking about "God" and asked for prayer in a very sad family situation. They were traveling to Ohio in uncertain circumstances. |

| Sept 23 | ||
This morning I preached at the Central Christian Academy in Southington CT. I spoke first to the Elementary students then the High School. Oh so many High School students filled the altar as they surrendered to the Lordship of Christ in their life. I will be back at Lighthouse Baptist tonight for our 2005 Missions Conference. It was a blessing last night and I seeking a new blessing tonight. |
| Sept 22 | ||
| My home church, Lighthouse Baptist in Waterbury, CT, is in the midst of our 2005 Missions Conference. I am looking forward to this time of preaching and challenge. It really is my greatest desire to see not only the giving for missions challenge us but the giving or our lives. May the Lord call someone into the harvest fields of the world. What good are Missionaries without money to go reach the field and what good is money without missionaries willing to go the field? | ||

| Sept. 15 | ||

I received an E-mail from a New Christian in Poland. He was on my site and asked how he could get a KJV Bible so he could study theology. I am sending one out to him. What a blessing. As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: 1Pe 2:2 |

Returned from meetings in Medina NY. I should have the results posted soon. The Lord saved two men. One in the Sunday morning service and one in the evening service. This was a long day. Hit the road at 4am and drove 400 miles home. My dear and sweet wife Faith is taking college courses for her Master's degree in education. She received her summer grade today and did well. She Aced the summer course. I am proud of her. She traveled all summer with me, helped me in yard work, kept the house and still managed to do so well. |

| Sept 7 | ||

Matt, my son, had a Labor Day picnic. The weather was just prefect, the food fantastic and the fellowship of several pastors, family and friends was wonderful. Played horseshoes and just enjoyed the day. I leave Friday for a meeting in Medina, NY. I am so thankful to be able to serve the Lord. |
| Sept 2 | ||
What a busy summer!! But yet a blessed one. Hard to believe that this is the Labor Day Weekend and the official end of summer. It was a good summer for Faith and I. Yesterday I talked to a young man about his soul. He had so little interest in the matter of eternity. How sad. But an older gentleman gladly received the gospel tract I gave him as we passed on the side walk. A Muslim women also took the tract offered to her. |

| August 5 - Picture to think about included | ||
I was recently talking to a friend of mine who is in Iraq. I told him it was hot here (in the mid 90's). He laughed and said "Hot? You call that hot? Right now (evening time there) it was 130" So I guess I better not complain. At least I can sit in comfort with a fan. But he has no such luxury in threat of constant enemy attack. Makes me count my blessings and thank God for our men and women in uniform. My wife and I will leave in the morning (about 5am) for upper New York state for a revival meeting in Hebron. Here is something I kinda liked: |
| July 23 | ||
Its been a hot summer. But after last winter I am not complaining! I have been able to spend a lot of time with my dear wife this summer both at home and in my travels. We had three of our granddaughters stay with us for a few days. That was a blessing. tomorrow my wife and I will be at the South Middlesex Baptist Church in Framingham MA. Last week we were in Rhode Island at the Greater Rhode Island Baptist Temple. |
| July 15 - Birthday and Convertible | ||
Today is my wife's birthday!! Thankyou to all who expressed your wishes for her on this day. So many have commented on the convertible the Lord gave for to drive from Houston to San Antonio. I thought I would put up a picture of it. The Lord is so GOOD. If you have not read how this happened see the blog for June 24. ![]() |

| Julie 13 - VBS | ||
Been having VBS at Grace Baptist Church in Windor CT. Attendance grows each night and the Lord is saving souls. Last night some young people committed to submit their life to the ways of the Lord as revealed in the Bible. Others were saved. Still need to get caught up on the Revival Report. The grass keep growing too!!! |

| July 3 | ||
We left HOT Texas for HOT Connecticut! But today it was much cooler. This being the 4th of July weekend reminds me of the need for America to get back to God. I am about caught up on the pile of work awaiting me when we returned. Was able to take my wife out to dinner tonight -- Subway -- two free Subway Club cards!! We went to a nearby park to have a picnic dinner. I will be at the Harvest Baptist Church in Torrington for Sunday services in the morning. I also know I have to get my Evangelist Reports page updated. I am several meetings behind. |

| June 24 - More Texas news | ||
Well as I have told you Faith and I are in Texas and had wonderful meetings both in Llano and Houston. 8 saved in Lllano and 4 in Cleveland (Houston area) Now, we are on a 2 day anniversary trip at San Antonio. Hard to believe 36 wonderful years have passed. In order to conserve our funds we had reserved an "Economy" car for the trip from Houston to San Antonio. When we went to pick up the car they instead gave us a 2005 Chrysler Sebring Convertible! Yep we made the trip with the top down. God is so good. We didn't know it when we planned our trip, but while here the "Spurs" basket ball team won the NBA championship. San Antonio was electrified. We fly back tomorrow. We usually don't really get to have a lot of time alone to relax. Even if it was only 2 days it was refreshing. |
| June 20 - Texas | ||
Thought I would try to catch you all up on things. I have been in Texas almost two weeks now. Last week I was in Llano at the Bible Baptist Church. I preached Sunday at the church and did the Vacation Bible School each day that week. A soul was saved Sunday morning and baptized after the evening service. 8 were saved at VBS during the week. At present time I am in Cleveland, Texas (Near Houston) preaching Revival. Yesterday 3 were saved and young lady received assurance of Salvation. Also a fine young couple joined the Church. |
| May 26 | ||
Tonight I preached at the 8th grade graduation of Central Christian Academy in Southington. The church was pretty much a full house and 14 young men and women now have moved to the High School level. Almost all of them were taught by my wife Faith in 1st grade. So hard to believe they have grown so fast. If it stops raining I plan on mowing the lawns in the morning. Also getting ready to preach at the Harvest Baptist Church in Torrington, CT on Sunday. |
| May 25 | ||
Had a wonderful time in the tent meetings at NY. A first time visitor was saved the first night. Been working outside when it is not raining. Cut down some brush, did some work in the garage and preparing to preach at the Eighth Grade Graduation of Central Christian Academy on Thursday. |
| May 13 | ||
Well, it had to happen ... my first lawn mowing experience of the year! Ahh if only the Lord would so make it that grass would not grow when I am away preaching. But with the blessing of a home comes responsibilities to be good stewards of His goodness. Fixed the upstairs sink too. Hey, its May and last night the temperature got down to 32!! But today was nice. While moving some dirt around I found a golf ball ... could that be A SIGN??? |
| May 9 - A great Monday | ||
Returned home late last night from Hillsboro, New Hampshire. What a wonderful blessing. In all TEN were saved and many many many others touched to live for the Lord. I will post it all to the revival report soon. This morning I received a call from a lady who was a member of our church a long time ago. She called from Ohio and asked me to visit her dad who is in the hospital with heart and breathing problems. He wonderfully received the Lord Jesus as his personal savior. Hey for a Monday, not bad at all!!! |
| May 5 - Soul saved | ||
I am having a wonderful time here in Hillsboro Baptist Church in New Hampshire. The Lord did something really special in the morning chapel hour among the students of the school. This afternoon I was able to lead a 15 year old boy to the Lord. He promised to come to church to make a public testimony of God's grace on his soul. Looking forward to the services tonight. |
| May 5 - Hillsboro NH -- | ||
We started the revival last and the Lord blessed in a good way. Many tears and broken hearts were at the altar. The Spirit of the Lord is working. This morning I was in chapel with the Christian school here and the altar was full with young people who wanted to surrender fully to the Lord. Spent some time one on one with those who wanted to pray and talk to me. I will be making some calls with the Pastor today and preach tonight. Mid morning: Pastor Gaylord and I led a soul to Christ. He said he would come tonight and publicly profess Christ. |
| May 2 | ||
Had good Lord's Day services at Annsville Baptist Church NY yesterday. A wonderful moving of the Lord. Salvation, dedication and restoration were among the decisions made in all the services. Will post it to the Evangelism and Revival Report soon. Today I worked outside clearing some branches and general spring cleanup. I will leave Wednesday for a meeting in New Hampshire through Sunday. |

| April 27 - A death in the family | ||
| The Bible says that to "everything there is a season" .. A time to live and a time to die. The time to die came to a cousin of mine this past Monday. I was asked to do the funeral which I will do Thursday. I believe this will be the eighth family member I have done a funeral for. I have a heavy heart yet rejoice to know I can preach the comforting Gospel of Jesus Christ. I was told he had made a profession of faith in Christ in his younger days. That gives great hope and peace to me | ||
| April 22 | ||
This morning I spoke in chapel at the Central Christian Academy in Southington, CT. I always rejoice being around young people. This is the school my wife, Faith teaches at. This afternoon I cut down some trees and been doing some general spring yard work. As much as I complained about the snow, I must say it did cover a lot while it lasted. But now I see the real ground and what needs to be done. I leave in the morning to preach at a Basketball Bonanza put on by the Community Baptist Church of Branford CT. I am looking forward to the day with the young people and trust their hearts will be receptive to the Word of God. |

| April 16 Tax and Fish | ||
What a time of year! Yesterday, April 15 TAX day. Lines formed at the post office till midnight as folks tried to avoid the dead line for filing. I am reminded that God has a dead line for us too. . . . behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. 2 Cor. 6:2 And TODAY, the first day of fishing season here in CT. At 3am men, women and even children were out on the lakes and streams in hopes of catching the big fish. Even though they could not legally fish until 6 AM they grouped for breakfast and gatherings. Standing in the cold, dark and damp night, with pole and bait they lined the water's edge. Some even would stand in the water. No complaints or murmuring and willing paying for the privilege to do so. Now did not Jesus say: Mat 4:19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. Let's go fishing! |

| April 11 Why not to wash | ||
Recently someone in a meeting gave this to me. Thought I might let you see it too. If you took the same excuses that people use for not going to church and apply them to other important areas of life you'd realize how inconsistent we can be in our logic. For example: Reasons Not To Wash I was forced to wash as a child People who make soap are only after your money I wash on special occasions like Christmas and Easter People who wash are hypocrites - they think they are cleaner then everyone else There are so many different kinds of soap, I can't decide which one is best I used to wash, but it got boring so I stopped None of my friends wash The bathroom is too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter I'll start washing when I gold older and dirtier I can't spare the time Washing is only for people who need it |

| April 7 | ||

The snow went then the rain came down and the floods came up. Our basement tends at times to have a problem with water coming in when the water table is high. It was not as bad as it has been in the past for which I thank the Lord. None the less an extra chore. I just, today, received word that the daughter of my former pastor was killed in a car wreck yesterday. She was 19 years old and lived in VA. Somehow, she lost control of the car she was driving. The car went over the embankment, she was thrown out and the car rolled over her and killed her. Pray for the family. The parents, her brother and three younger sisters. |

| March 31 | ||
I am saddened today by the passing of Terri Schiavo. Like most of us we have heard of this situation for many weeks now and have accepted the fate that occurred. I am still amazed that something like this could happen in our land. No one in this country should be starved to death. Even a convicted killer or a mad dog is given more dignity than this young woman whose biggest problem was that she could not feed herself. Her heart, lungs and vital organs all were working on their own, she just could not feed herself. I have lowed the flag on my front yard to half mast in her memory. Strange I have never met Terrie and have no intent political. I would hope the Gospel was presented sometime in her life to her. Only the Lord knows her personal relationship with Him. I will leave that matter to Him. I only express my concern over the family and the direction the courts. America needs the Lord! As I was lowering my flag, an eighteen wheeler was passing by on the highway and gave a sympathetic horn blast and wave. I guess he "knew" how I felt and agreed. |

| March 30 | ||
Spring at last!! In the 60's today. A welcome relief- hey I might even go start the lawn mower just for the fun of it. Faith had Monday off from school so we spent the day together mostly visiting a few of our church shutins. What a joy to see their smiles as we walked in. We chatted, read some Scripture and prayed with them. It was one of those things - you know where you went to be a blessing and came away blessed yourself. I talked with a young man about his soul. May God forgive me for at first focusing on his outward appearance (beard as long as his pony tail, pierced lip and ears). The Lord showed me his love for lost sinners (and us saved ones too). He was very respectful and received the word and tracts that were given. Pray the seed might fall on good soil. I plan to go back and see him. |
| A snowy March 23 | ||
OK, winter officially ended a few days ago ...soooooo why is it SNOWING again??? I was just outside and already there is about 4" of snow and it is still falling hard. They say 8" or more could fall. I heard it said about March "In like a lion and out like a lamb" The lamb only has 8 more days to get here!! I had a good witness with a man of Islam today about the Lord. He showed concern that his works would not be accepted by his god. What a great time to talk of Grace and Mercy. Terms that do not apply to his faith. At least the seed was planted. |
| March 21 | ||
| Things have been heavy on my heart. Last Friday I received word that someone who rode our church bus almost 30 years ago died suddenly. I was asked to conduct her service by the family. It will be at 5:00pm today. I remember her as a child receiving Christ as her Savior. Mrs. Souza taught her in first grade at Faith Baptist Academy. Today she walks on gold. | ||

Well, it is snowing AGAIN and AGAIN with more predicted next week. The weather man said we already broke the snowfall record for March and we are not even half way through. Who was that guy who wrote "Let it Snow - Let it Snow - Let it Snow"? Faith and I will leave in the morning (after shoveling our way out) for Framingham MA to be at the Middlesex Baptist Church. I think the storm will be done mid day today so travel should be ok. It's a great comfort to know folks pray for our safety. |

Well, more snow, just what we need. But I don't expect it last long. Will Spring and Summer EVER get here? Yes the Lord is faithful. Last Sunday, Faith and I attended the installation service for Pastor Jason Stephens at the Grace Baptist Church in Windsor CT. It was a wonderful service. A good pastor friend of mine, Marty Shott from Harvest Baptist Church in New Hartford had preached the morning service. He asked me if I could preach for him that evening. That was about a two hour notice including the time spent in the installation service! I really was not prepared for or expected to do this. But I have told the Lord if I can preach I will. Well, I had just a few thoughts in my mind and a burden on my heart. I felt so ill prepared. But the Lord just took over the meeting. I still am amazed how the Lord worked. A very full altar and many many folks gave personal testimony to me of the way God worked that night. I guess sometimes as a preacher I get to rely too much on 'notes and outlines' and not enough of dependance on God. Both are good but the power of God is essential. I will pick up Faith from school shortly because of early closing. |

I have now returned from my trip with great joy. Souls were saved and lives touched. However, much awaited me at home. Mail, chores and even snow, with more coming if the predictions are correct. But it is good to be home. Tonight I went to my son's home for a birthday party for our granddaughter Bethany. She is now eight years old. Hardly seems possible. But it is a reminder of how fast time passes and what we are going to do for the Lord must be done now while we can. |

It's Friday morning and I will be leaving NC for the men's conference in SC. Talked with my wife this morning and there was a snow fall of about 4 inches and delayed school by 2 hours. I hear more snow is coming next week just about the time I am returning. |

Service last night at Manna Baptist Church was blessed by the Lord. So many hearts were touched and moved by the Lord. Will post this in the Revival report when I get home. Had a wonderful time today at Ambassador Baptist College. Attended chapel and then taught in the personal evangelism class. A wonderful group of young people who have a burden to win souls. Took my son Jonathan and two great guys, Ross and Isaac out to lunch. Being around Bible collage students really does something to renew your zeal. I will leave Friday morning for South Carolina for a men's conference. |

Had a great trip from VA to NC. On the way I met a couple at a rest area and talked to them about the matter of their souls. They were not ready to receive Christ but did ask me to pray for them. Several hours later I met them again at a gas station. They pulled up right behind me. They both jumped out and in tears asked me to tell them again about getting saved. They confessed Christ! I gave them a Bible and we went to a phone book they had in their car to find a good church in their area. God provides everything. After having arrrived in Shelby, I had lunch with my son Jonathan and will be preaching tonight at the Manna Baptist Church in Shelby NC in which he is ministering. |

Had great services at Mainland Baptist Church in South New Jersey yesterday. Will post the results later. Several were saved! Right now I am at my son's Tim home in VA after leaving NJ last night. Had snow in Maryland on the way down. Today we went to visit my brother in law who had a stroke. While at the hospital we met a wonderful sweet Christian woman named Grace. Had prayer with her and then spent time with Alan. He has use of his left arm, and legs but his right arm is not responsive at all. Please pray for him. I will leave in the morning for NC to preach at Manna Baptist Church in Shelby then teach a class at Ambassador Baptist College the next day. I will then leave for a men's meeting in S.C. |

Tonight my son Matt and his wife Tricia, along with the four most wonderful granddaughters in the world (just ask me and my wife) came over for supper. Had a great time. It was especially nice to have the company at this time. This would have been my dad's 100th birthday. Actually he was buried on his birthday. My mom would have been 89 on Jan 29. Both are now with the Lord. We leave in the morning to be with the River Hills Baptist Church in Rocky Hill Ct on Sunday. |

Today at 2:10pm a state wide emergency alert went over the TV and radio stations. The message was to "Evacuate the State of Connecticut immediately"! Somehow there was a computer glitch that sent that warning across the air waves. There was no danger. Wow, can you imagine what panic that caused before a corrected "alert" was broadcast. Fortunately the correction was made within minutes. Rest assured that God's warnings to the unsaved and saved alike are true and accurate. Been a nice day today -- in the 30's |

Well, we had a great time at the gathering of family and friends of Joel McClay as he leaves for Iraq next month. A very good number of friends and relatives were there to give support to him and his family. I was asked to read some scripture. I read Ps 91, which was requested of his Dad. It was the Psalm that was read to him as he left to fight the war in Korea back in the 50's. He wanted it read for his son also. Mr. McClay was not able to be at this gathering. He is in the hospital facing open heart surgery on Monday. Please pray for him. I spoke a few words, presented the Gospel and then had Joel and his family stand by me as I led in prayer for them. We need to pray for our men and women who are serving our nation. Pray for their families as well. Faith and I leave for Brooklyn Ct in the morning to be at the Open Bible Baptist Church. |

It's been cold here in Connecticut. Last night was the coldest of the year reaching -7. Today it really is warming up into the 20's!! Well, one good thing about cold - you don't have to shovel it!! Tonight Faith and I will attend a gathering for a good Christian friend of ours who is being shipped to Iraq. If you think of it please pray for Joel McClay and his family. Pray for a safe return and for needs to be met by his family during his tour of duty. We will leave in the morning to preach in Brooklyn CT at the Open Bible Baptist Church. |

| January 24 - The Snow Storm | ||
| A very bad snow storm was predicted and arrived this past weekend. It cleared up some Sunday afternoon and had about 8-10 inches of snow with high wind. The church I was to preach at called and said it was impossible to get to the church due to the weather -- Went to my home church in the morning and to the truck stop in the evening for a Bible study. A few truckers attended with many questions. | ||
