New England Youth Conference

Brother Kurt LaCapruccia has for the past five years headed up the New England Youth Conference.  Each year it is located in different parts of New England for the benefit of seeing young people called and equipped to serve the Lord.

Brother, LaCapruccia is an inner church missionary and has started many inner city churches.  He is the founder and director of the Pioneer Baptist Ministries, located in New Britain, Connecticut.

The fruit of his ministry was seen as young people from Pioneer Baptist Church, Brattleboro, VT attended and participated in the conference.  A church which he started in 1988.

About one hundred thirty five young people registered for the conference along with a dozen or so adults, Pastors, Youth Pastors and workers.  The conference was built on "Preaching".  Two preaching sessions where held on Monday night. Tuesday sessions with adults, boys and girls meeting separately for three sessions each. 

Lunch was served and a great time of fellowship and blessing was enjoyed by all.  The folks at Independent Baptist Church did an outstanding job feeding everyone not only lunch but also supper.

During the Tuesday afternoon time several "preacher boys" preached.  Some of these young men were called to preach in pervious years at this very same conference.  My heart was so thrilled to hear them preach!!!  Praise the Lord for His calling upon young men to "stand in the gap".  Several groups and individuals from the churches presented special music which stirred our hearts and prepared for the afternoon preaching session.  What a wonderful blessing when I gave the invitation and saw  the altar full of young people who surrendered to serve the Savior.  Young ladies vowing to God to keep themselves unspotted by the world and young men vowing to keep themselves from being disqualified from the ministry knelt in prayer and surrender.  God called more into the ministry!!!!  My heart was full of the joy of the Lord. 

I said before, that this conference was built on preaching and it truly was.  These young people were serious about following the Lord.  There were two more services after the evening meal.  Brother Kurt LaCapruccia preached a wonderful and powerful message on the unlocking the power and blessing of the Lord in your life.  I then preached the last message of the conference.  The hand of God touched us.  So many filled the altar and aisles.  Some made an altar by their seats and with many tears, soft hearts and surrendered wills young people lives were forever changed.  PRAISE THE LORD!

I said during one of the preaching sessions (there were 8 in all) :  The devil may get some young people, but he won't get them ALL. Thank God for the power of His Word.  Thank God for young people who can see beyond the tinsel of the devil and choose to follow the Lord.
