Faith Promise Mission Conference

The Gospel message will reach across the world a little more because of the faith, zeal and vision of Bible Baptist Church. Brother Short came to Maine a short time ago and there is wonderful testimony of the Lord's direction both for him and the church in bringing them together. A spirit of vision and zeal permeated the days of this conference. Three missionaries were here telling of their burden for lost souls and willingness to forsake all and follow their Savior. The Lord even saved souls .. right here... in the mission field of America.

Missions: The Heartbeat of God

While no real goal was set for the Faith Promise Giving, Pastor Short had a figure on his heart. The faith of this good church was poured out and not only was that amount reached but well succeeded.

Even beyond the giving was the sweet spirit during the services. The music, the excellent attention to the preaching of the Word and response at each invitation was outstanding.

The International supper really was great. The food, the decorations and fellowship were a great testimony to the love these people have to each other and the ministry of the Gospel.

Missionary Lacombe preached in the chapel time to the students on the importance of obedience to the Lord. Using Jonah as an example he so clearly pointed out the needless hardship we bring upon our selves because of disobedience.

A good lesson not only for young people but also for adults as to remember as we live our life.
