Tri-State Baptist Church
Thompson, CT
Pastor Ron Berard

A growing church is established in Thompson Connecticut!!
Through the vision and burden for souls, Brother Ron Berard and his family
came to this largely forgotten Northeast corner of the state. Touching
Massachusetts and Rhode Island this work was born in April 2005.
Fifth Year
Anniversary and Land Dedication
It
was a VERY special time in the life of this still young church. After
five years of faithful ministry, the church not only celebrated its anniversary
but also dedicated its recently purchased forty acre piece of property.
A special day was set aside for this event. Proceeding this day I
preach several days of Revival Meetings. It was the first such extended
meeting in the history of the church. The spirit of the
Lord was so very evident in so many ways. Great crowds filled the
building each night. From the first hymn to the last Amen there was
a consciousness of the Lord presents. The Lord showed His grace and
mercy in reaching a lost soul for salvation. Many many other heart
felt decisions were made at the altar. Tears of repentance mixed with
tears of joy as the Lord melted away years of defeat and failure and renewed
vision and passion for the Lord.

On Sunday the excitement grew as the anticipation
of the events of the day was on everyone's heart and mind. Pastor Berard
asked Pastor Tom Crichton to preach the morning message on this event filled
day.
Brother Crichton preached here five years ago for
the first service and it was fitting and proper for him to do so again on
this special day.
Brother Berard was trained under Brother Crichton
and learned wisdom and understanding concerning the ministry.
| Music is
so much part of the joy of Christian Living. The music was heart
warming and honored the Lord both in style and content. |

Following the morning service the church family and friends met
outside under a tent for a great meal and time of fellowship.

The meal was abundant and
delicious.

After the meal Pastor Berard unveiled the plans
for a church building to be erected on the soon to be dedicated land.
I could sense the faith and vision of the folks as the architectural drawing
was unveiled. There was no doubt it would take faith, vision and sacrifice
to accomplish this task. It seemed like they all were looking forward
to having a part in this program, making the sacrifice and living by faith
to see it come to realization. Pastor Breard explained that the building
was not the goal, but a tool to reach the lost souls of the area and to
send missionaries around the world.

To God
be the Glory was the prayer of dedication of the land. |

Bibles, Christian
materials and good Godly Gospel music is available to those who wish to
strengthen their walk with the Lord

I expect to see the Hand of God's blessing to keep falling on this work
and ministry. In days of church closings and dwindling attendance,
it is refreshing to see what can done if someone would just preach the Bible,
win souls and live a Godly life.
OK, I just HAD to include
this picture -- Can you guess why? Maybe a future Preacher or
Evangelist?
But for sure My Buddy!
