New England is a beautiful part of the United States.   Maine in the early summer is filled with the life of Spring.  Green mountains, clear lakes and streams add to the beauty of this New England state.

While here Faith and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary.  We stayed in a beautiful guest house on Pleasant Lake.  And pleasant it was.  Spending time together in the early morning hours along the dock,  a couple of boat rides around the lake and wonderful Christian fellowship made this time so very special for us.

The spirit of revival and the vision of soul winning found at the First Baptist Church in Stetson is alive and well.  Located near Bangor Maine this church is reaching out in compassion for lost souls and discipleship of believers.

I was here for a time of preaching and revival.  The Lord, as always, blessed in so many ways.  Souls were drawn closer to the Lord in each service.  The Holy Spirit moved upon us.   A sweet spirit prevailed and the joy of the Lord filled our hearts.  My own heart was stirred as the Lord showed His power and presents.  It was a joy to meet Brother McCarthy and his wife and to spend time with them.

The Lord is using Brother McCarthy in a special way. There is no doubt as to his love for the Lord, the people and the calling of God to Stetson.

Faithful servants of the Lord are hard to find.  Thank the Lord for those who serve to His Glory and praise for the Savior.

Surprise for the Souza'a

After the last service the church surprised us with special time of fellowship in celebrating our 40th Wedding Anniversary.  To say the least Faith and I were very surprised indeed and deeply touched at this out pouring of love toward us.  Cake, cookies and ice cream (Ben and Jerry's of course) filled the table in the fellowship hall.  Their expression of love will not soon be forgotten
