Bible Independent
Baptist Church

North Hebron,  New York

Pastor J.R Bouchard

I was privileged to have my dear and precious wife with me this time for the summer meetings.   She experienced the same  blessing of the warm and sweet fellowship of the believers who gathered here in the Name of the Lord, as I did last fall.  All the folks were a blessing.

The church was first named "The North Hebron Baptist Church" and was founded in 1817 in a members home. In 1818 the church called their first pastor and held services in homes and the school house.  This grand and old building was erected in 1826 at a cost of $1,700.00.  A troy cast bell was added in 1850.  Electricity was added in 1939.

This old chandelier was converted from kerosene to electricity.

In 1970 the church disbanded with services held only once a year.  For 30 years no real ministry was held.  BUT then in 2000, the Lord gave a vision of ministry to the Bible Independent Baptist church then meeting in  Manchester, VT.  Pastor J.R. Bouchard and the members moved to this present building and the Lord is blessing.  The structure needed a great deal of work from the roof to the floor and everything in between.  The members and other Baptist Churches joined hands and sacrificed funds to make the building what it is today.

The Lord blessed in souls saved as this church reaches out to those in need of the Lord Jesus Christ.  During my time here there were several visitors and a good response to the preaching of the Bible.

A very warm Christ like love is seen among the people.  They were eager to hear the Word of God and had an open heart as the Holy Spirit spoke in each service.

An old stately pipe organ graces the meeting house

The singing was so wonderful as the joy in the hearts of these believers rang out.  Song after song and note after note was evidence of the glow of God's grace.

A young lady by the name of Hope is always happy to do something to please the Lord.

Special Music from all ages stirred hearts for the preaching of Jesus Christ.

A broken wrist can not stop this young ladies smile!

Yep I signed it too.

A lot of smiling faces and joy being in the house of the Lord

Guess I was not the only one taking pictures.

A praying pastor and a praying people are a force
that is unmatched by anything the devil has.

This ministry is proof that there is power in prayer.
