             Pastor D.G. Davis

Update

Pastor Davis recently went to Baghdad to help establish Bible Believing Baptist Churches.  I filled his pulpit for him and the Lord prepared the hearts of God people to receive the Word of God.  It was heart warming to meet new folks and see the faithfulness of the believers over the years.

NOTE:  I received report that while in Iraq the pastors were attacked by terrorists.  Their van was open fired on with automatic weapons and one brother, Pastor John Kelley of Curtis Corner Baptist Church in Wakefield RI, was killed.  Brother Davis was wounded along with the others but other wise survived the attack.  As of the writing of this report they are still in Iraq but do plan to return home shortly as soon as medical conditions allow.

Brother Davis has been faithful over the years in the city of Vernon/Rockville, Connecticut.  His stand, convictions and beliefs have remained true to the Word of God in times when compromise is popular.   He has built a good people who were hungry for the preaching and teaching of the Bible.  Soft hearts yielded to the leading of the Holy Spirit during each invitation.  I believe the Lord has something great in store for this ministry.

Brother Smith was the founding pastor of the church and was there to provide special music.  His heart warming ways have not been diminished over the years.  Although retired he is still ready to battle for the Lord.

Good music is always appreciated and there was plenty of it this week.  Great congregational singing and specials were a blessing.
