Baptist Church
Middleburgh, NY
Pastor John Mills

Way up in the Catskill mountains of New York state, Valley Baptist
Church ministers to the souls of Middleburgh and surrounding towns.
Each year on Labor Day Weekend the church holds a camp-out in which members
camp, fellowship and worship together. This year it was held at a state
park and folks camped out in tents, campers and motor homes. We had a bit
of rain but not enough to dampen the joy of the Lord in our hearts.
Showers of blessing prevailed.

Each day started with singing, testimonies, prayer and the preaching of the Word
of God. Each night we had a camp fire service again with testimony and
preaching. The sweet fellowship was something to experience. The meals
were wonderful. But most of all the joy of the Lord seemed to prevail in a
mighty way in everything we did.

The camp fire seemed to be the gathering place for prayer,
chatting and Bible reading. The fire warmed us on the outside as the
Spirit of the Lord warmed us on the inside.

The fellowship was sweet throughout the weekend with plenty
of food shared by all.
Let's talk about Jesus!
We had a lot of fun too
Who says Christians don't have fun?
The devil does!!! - What a liar!!!

On Sunday I preached at the church. The Church extends its ministry
by broadcasting the service live over the radio. So many responded to the
touch of the Lord in their lives in both the morning and evening service.
My heart was uplifted to know that hearts were tender to the call of the Lord.

The choir was a real blessing and the special music ministered in a Godly
and spiritual way. It was moving but not fleshly, convicting but not
worldly and scriptural in content.

Pastor and Mrs. Mills have faithfully served the Lord over
the years at Valley Baptist Church. In days of weak preaching,
compromising music and man made success, it's a blessing to see men of God and
churches still standing true to the Word of God.
