Located near Atlantic City, Mainland Baptist Church is holding forth the Word of God in the backyard of the gambling center of New Jersey. It had been a number of years since I was here. There were many changes to the building over the years, but the preaching of the Gospel has remained strong, built on the solid foundation of Biblical standards.
Pastor Bult and I go back to Bible School days. We used to travel on Gospel Team together with a few other students. After seeing so many of my old classmates quit the ministry, it did my heart good to see Brother Bult building a strong witness for Christ. His people were warm, attentive and responsive.
Mainland Baptist Church was the first stop on a trip that brought me through eight states. The two days I spent here were a real blessing.
Saturday night a good number attended a banquet that had a Hawaiian theme, complete with a water fall and volcano!
The food and fellowship were great and the Word preached was received in joy and gladness.
The choir did a great job singing the praises of the Lord. The Lord really worked in the Sunday School and morning services. Souls were saved and lives were touched as the Gospel was preached.
The Lord saved another soul in the evening service as well. It was a blessed time in song and preaching of the Word of God.

The bus ministry is live and well at Mainland Baptist Church. Four full size busses and a van reach souls for Christ. Recently I heard of a pastor who was asked if he was getting out of the bus ministry because the price of gas is so high. His response was that they didn't get into the bus ministry because gas used to be cheap! But because souls needed to be saved and that has not changed. |
