Youth Meeting and Sunday Services
The
out reach of the Lakes Pond Baptist Church is never at a standstill. All summer the
youth activities have reached out to the unsaved as well as to the believing
young person. This was the last of the summer activates and a good number
were there for a time of games and preaching of the Word of God.

This was a special time for me also. This was the One Hundredth sermon I
preached at this great church. I was a bit taken back that they knew this
and had prepared a wonderful surprise for me and Mrs. Souza. After the
games and as part of the refreshments, a decorated and delicious cake was
brought out and the announcement was made of the One Hundredth sermon I was to
preach that night. The Lord spoke to tender hearts as many stood with the
preacher to accept God's way for their lives.

During the service another surprise awaited me as the
church and young people presented a plaque in my honor. The real joy
was knowing the love this church has for those who minister to them. Their
love for each other overflows to others. This is a sweet fellowship
of believers who stand true and firm on the Word of God (KJV). It is an
example of having strong convictions and the love of God for souls and each
other.

Sunday Services

On Sunday morning I taught a combined class of the young
people and adults in the Sunday School hour. I am always amazed how eager
these folks are to hear and heed the teachings of the Bible. Many many
responded to the invitation at both services and lingered at the altar as they
did business with the Lord. After a blessed time in the evening
service Pastor Meader baptized a new convert into the membership
of the church.
