Tent Meeting

What a wonderful blessing to be part of this church's evangelistic Tent
Meeting. Crowds filled the tent during the Seven days of
preaching. At least one soul was saved in each service many times
several. The Lord gave wonderful blessings each and every
night. Souls were saved, home restored, lives reclaimed for the Lord's
work and a refreshing spirit of revival fell.

Hundreds of chairs were set up. Service after service - night
after night folks came in the hope and anticipation of the Lord's blessing.
Large crowds filled the tent even with threatening storms of wind, rain, thunder
and lightening throughout the week. Actually the largest crowd was on a
night of the worst storm of the week. In spite of the weather folks still
came. For safety, the services were move inside that evening. But it
was so amazing that while no one knew they would be inside that night and fully
expected to be under the tent they still came in the storm.

The music was just outstanding!! No rock beat, no
drums, no contemporary style music, just good old fashioned, heartfelt,
soul-stirring Gospel hymns and songs. Two pianos, two organs, an orchestra
and the melody of joyful people blended to true praise and worship unto the
Lord.
When the Lord moves He moves in a mighty way. While it
is always thrilling to see souls saved it is equally a blessing to see folks
baptized and joining the church. The meeting was to end on Friday but
Pastor Meader and the church felt the leading of the Lord to extend it to
Sunday. He asked me to stay and I was more than happy to do so. On
that Sunday morning Pastor Meader preached at 10am and I preached the 11am
service. After the services the church provided a meal for all who
attenened.
After the meal an afternoon service was held with singing, testimoies and an
out door baptism. New members were welcomed into the church family,
some by letter others my baptism. It was a true old fashioned Holy Spirit
filled, soul saving, sin convicting and Christ exalting tent meeting.

A fine family joins the church after attending the Tent
Revival
Several were baptized in the "tent baptistry"

A very comfortable travel camper was provided for
us while at the
church.
