Hillcrest Bible Baptist Church

 Located in Arkansas City, Kansas, Hillcrest Baptist Bible Church is doing a great work in the Gospel Ministry.  While this was my first time here, I felt right at home and very much welcomed.

The Lord met with us in a mighty way.  Each service was very well attended and the spirit of the Lord was evident. Pastor Burke, who has been here for about four years, has led the church in the Bible way of worship and service.  The good folks of this church have given their heart to the work of the ministry in joy.  The altar, the front and the aisles were filled at each invitation. Tears lingered long after the service ended and the joy of spiritual victory carried on.

The church has a Christian Day school for the training of its young people.  There are adequate classrooms and a full size gymnasium to this purpose.	I was asked to preach in the chapel of the Academy on Wednesday morning.   This is a great group of young people who seem dedicated to live their life for the Lord.

Good music, a hunger for God's Word and Bible preaching all add up to one great revival service.  I enjoyed looking around when the special music was going on.  I saw so many others in the congregation singing right along with those who were ministering.  I guess I was glad I was not the only one doing that!  After all this is not some religious entertainment part of the service - its ministry.

Over the years the believers had kept the vision for souls and a lighthouse of truth alive.  Although many changes have occurred and many building built the determination to stay faithful to the Word of God and win souls have never been diminished.  In this revival meeting there were new dedications made and a renewal of past promises restored.

When you call the church you will find a warm and friendly welcome.

Smiles were everywhere but none as obvious as this young lady.
