Harvest
Baptist Church
New Hartford Connecticut
Pastor Marty Shott
Harvest Baptist Church has built and dedicated this
beautiful building on Route 202 in New Hartford, Connecticut. After
meeting in several buildings in Torrington, the Lord blessed their faithfulness
and soul-winning programs with a new church home. Having preached many
times in revival meetings, both in tents and other buildings, I must say this
church certainly was built for "preaching". Pastor Shott is entering his
24th year of ministry at Harvest Baptist Church.

Annual December
Meeting
Pastor Shott asked me to set a Sunday aside each
year in December to be with his people for a special service. I am
always blessed to be among these believers who love the preaching of
God's Word.
There was a warm spirit and joyful atmosphere
during my entire time here. Pastor was waiting to baptize several
the following Sunday. The church is growing.
The music is always good here and always God
honoring. The choir, the special music and the congregational
singing were joyful and uplifting. It truly touched our hearts and
souls.

Show Your
Colors Youth Rally
Brother Rich Zawadzki,
Associate Pastor to Brother Shott, put together an area wide youth rally
involving several Bible believing, Independent Baptist Churches in the
state. In all One hundred and ten young people and youth workers
attended the Saturday afternoon event.
The theme of the
Rally was
"Show Your Colors"

The focus was on preaching that would grip hearts to
show greater zeal, loyalty and enthusiasm for the Lord as they do
for their favorite sport team.

It was an exciting time. I saw the zeal and
vigor of youth as they participated in the games, skits, music and their
attentiveness to the preaching of the Word of God.

After a few introductory games, singing and a skit,
Brother Brian Wilson, Youth Pastor of the Heritage Baptist Church in
Wallingford, CT, preached a powerful message on loyalty.
His message hit home as a good number of young people
responded to the invitation.
Following this great service we went to the church
fellowship hall for PIZZA!!!!!

After a unique Scavenger Hunt, congregational
singing, special music by the "Joyful Heart Quartet" and a very powerful
and moving musical skit on the judgment of God, I preached a Gospel
message. The moving of the Lord was very much evident resulting in
at least four professions of salvation and a vast host of young
people filling the altar with a heart felt commitment to living
the changed life to the Glory of God.
