George Perkins
Pastor
Located way up in the most
northern part of New England, God has called Brother George Perkins
to pastor the Free Baptist Church. From
what
I understand the church got it's name because during a time when
churches were "renting" pews. The believers here had
"free" pews for any who would wish to worship among them.
So much like salvation, free to all who will come to the Savor.
This was my first time here
and this far north in New England for a meeting. The meeting
started with a young peoples time of fellowship. Meeting in a
local school gym, there were games and competition events.
After this time of fun and
recreation we met back at the church to continue our time around the
Word of God. After a lively Sword Drill I preached.
The Lord had control of the group as they gave excellent attention
and several indicated their need for salvation and assurance.
Others saw the need to live a life to please the Lord. Of
course after this we had PIZZA!! and plenty of it.

The ministry here has a long
history dating back to the late 1800's. The present building
was erected or moved to it's present location in the early 1900's
The need for the Gospel today
is just as great as ever here in the New England States.
I enjoyed my time here
meeting folks for the first time. But in just a very short while I
felt at home among the redeemed of the Lord. On Sunday evening
before the service, we had a Harvest Supper with great food and
fellowship. Then On Monday night after the service -- as good
Baptist do -- we had an other time of fellowship of Ice Cream,
Pie and assorted desserts. The Lord filled us both spiritually
and physically.
