Jump Start
for the New Year
Kick Off 2010
It is not usual for it to be very very cold and snowy up
there in Northern Vermont during January. While in the
past the temperature has dropped to -26, this year was more of the same but to a lesser
degree. I
had hope this would be the year with with
no ice or snow. Well, it snowed. Several inches of snow
covered the ground. The good folks of this church have braved
the snow, cold and icy weather many times to sing songs of
praise and hear the Word of God preached. A few feet of
snow, cold and ice are not enough to stop a true New Englander
from coming to church.
On Friday, the church hosted the Northern
New England Baptist Fellowship. The fellowship among
these preachers was priceless. It always thrills my heart
to be with pastors standing true to the Word of God. I
felt so small in their presents but was honored to preach that
night. Thank the Lord for men who will not compromise or
bend on Biblical convictions and teachings. A great dinner was served so
we were filled phyically and spiritually.
The services were very well attended
and with great enthusiasm. I had the chance to meet new
folks who have joined the church since my last visit and
re-visit some of my old friends. Speaking of
meeting folks, it is such a joy to see the faithful over the
years staying the course.
The Lord worked during each service in all our hearts.
The altar was a place were souls found rest, comfort and refuse
under the conviction of the Holy Spirit. I enjoy
preaching here each year. Many of God's people throughout
the revival had yielded hearts to the calling of the Lord.
The altar was visited as many knelt in submission to the will
of God. What America needs are Christians living for the
living God!
The song services were really good.
String instruments along with the piano really helped us lift
our voice in praise to the Lord God of Heaven. The hymns
were soul stirring, uplifting and most of all Godly.

We must never forget the real strength and power in
the ministry flows from the Word of God and prayer. When Godly men
live a Godly life the Holy Spirit can work in great ways. |

"Reaching
people
Touching Lives"
This is not just a motto - it is the heart
beat of Calvary
for souls across the street and across the globe.
