The vision of  Lakes Pond Baptist Church not only reaches around the world but also a few miles down the road!  Many might question why start another Baptist church so close?  The reason is simple, people need to be saved and the Lord has commissioned the new testament Baptist church for the task.    The pastor and members of Lakes Pond believe the verse on the pulpit.  In the darkness of sin City Wide Baptist Church is bringing the light of Jesus Christ.

The church meets in a downtown location in the heart of the city. A good  number have been saved and now attending the services. 

City Wide Baptist Church has experienced the usual satanic attacks when a new church is started but the Lord is giving the victory.

What a joy it was for me to be with them for their fourth anniversary service.  The Lord was among us.  Several were touched by the Lord in the matter of their soul's salvation.   It just was a special time.  One young lady who was baptized in the summer tent meeting had no way of attending the meeting.  She prayed and somehow was able to come up with twenty dollars.  She called a cab which picked her up, drove over to the other end of the city to pick up her two cousins. They all came to the service!  Such is the burden the people have to see souls saved within the city of New London.

Two were presented with new Bibles for their work in bringing visitors.

Special music paved the way for the preaching of the Word of God.

I just loved seeing the Scripture Banners all over the building

All the folks pitched in for a real special dinner.  It was a wonderful time of good food.  Among the special items were goat and catfish!  There were other items that I would never know how to spell, but did a good job in tasting.  The fellowship was sweet.
