Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as
though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in
Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.

Ambassador Baptist College is a training center for
young men and women in the Gospel ministry. Brother Ron Comfort,
president of the college asked me if I would come and preach a couple of
days in the chapel services. The student body was very receptive to the preaching
of the Word of God, the music was Godly and stirring. The testimony
time was a special blessing as student after student gave public praise to
the working of God in their life and ministry. Even without an
invitation given many came to the altar being burdened for the work of God
in their life. It is evident that the Spirit of the Lord is
working in this Bible College. There was a sweet and exciting
atmosphere everywhere I went on campus. Several students personally
asked me to pray with them throughout my time there.
I also talked to the men in the Evangelist Class.
How exciting to see the vision and zeal of these fine men who feel a
calling in evangelism and revival. They asked straight forward questions
about the life and ministry of the Evangelist. I had a great time
with them and do expect to see the Lord use them in a mighty way. I
thank God for men like these men who will go down the revival and
evangelism trail all across America. May the Lord multiply their
numbers and anoint them with power.

In the evening the ABC Missions Prayer Band met
under the direction of Brother Ben Childs. I had the privilege of
bringing a challenge concerning missions and soul winning. A large
number of students took the time to attend and gave excellent attention to
the Word of God. I could really sense the love and concern for souls
among these young people. It was so refreshing to be among them.
It sure renewed my vision being there with them.
Afterwards, small groups formed for prayer on behalf
of missionaries and lost souls throughout the world.
My son Jonathan has since graduated from Ambassador
Baptist College. It was so good spending some time with him
during the days of my visit. Later that night I gave his dorm
devotions and was so thrilled to see the eagerness and reception of
God's Word among the boys in the dorm.
In these days of weak, shallow and comprising
churches and schools, Ambassador Baptist College stands out in bold
contrast. When others have left the foundations of true Baptist
fundamentalism, this school with its leadership and staff is
teaching its students to "earnestly
contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints." Jude 3.
