In the western part of New York State, just minutes from Niagara Fall, is the town of Akron, New York.  Pastor LaCapruccia asked Mrs. Souza and myself to help in a Family Conference.  For two days folks of all ages met to study the scriptures in the matter of the home and marriage.

In all there  were three general sessions and a split session in which Mrs. Souza had the ladies and I had the men. 

The heart of the folks were so eager to see and accept the scriptural teaching on the role of husband, wife and children in the home. 

If our churches are to be strong then our homes must be strong and built on the Word of God.

Before the last session on Saturday evening, we all enjoyed a great time of fellowship and food.

The Sunday Services

After spending most of all day Saturday at the Family Conference,  the folks came to church with a spirit of anticipation as to what the Lord would do.  It was Father's day and  a good number of fathers were present.  Each was given a gift and honored.

 I preached a Father's Day sermon from the life of Noah and Lot.  At the invitation many fathers came to the altar, kneeling before the Lord of Heaven. They committed themselves to a Godly home under the direction of the Word of God. As they knelt, their wives came along side of them and also committed themselves to follow and support their husbands in this spiritual walk.  There were many tears, hugs and smiles as the joy of following the Lord was expressed.

Fellowship Baptist Church has a world wide missions vision.  They support missionaries around the world who are preaching the Gospel, seeing people get saved, baptized and establishing New Testament Baptist Churches.

Pastor and Mrs. LaCapruccia are a God called couple to this God given people.  Their faith, vision and zeal are hard to match.  The believers are in solid support of Biblical teachings and have a love for each other and the lost.
